    摘要: One end of the housing for a spinning turbine is closed by a cover adjacent to the spinning cup mouth, which cover is connected with sliver-supply and yarn drawoff apparatus. The other housing end portion encircles a sleeve having bearings for the spinning cup shaft. Such shaft may be connected to drive means such as a belt or a commutatorless direct current motor, which drive means can be quickly disconnected. The sleeve-encircling housing portion includes quickly-releasable means for releasing the bearing sleeve for removal either alone or with attached drive means, and for replacement by a substitute bearing unit. The housing may have a longitudinal slit through a portion of its wall and cooperating lugs on each side of the slit for receiving nut and bolt means to clamp the split housing around the bearing sleeve. Alternatively, a set screw extends through the housing wall and bears on the sleeve to prevent sleeve movement. The sleeve may have a flange adjacent to the open housing end engageable by a pair of swingable leaf spring clips pivoted on the housing to draw the flange toward the housing. A split ring bushing may be interposed between the sleeve and the housing, and may include a collar for mounting the electronic control box for a motor.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for producing staple fibers of a predetermined length from a substantially endless tow of fibers. The tow of fibers is fed onto needles carried in rows on a carrier under tension. The carrier is rotated past a cutting area and a depositing area. As the rows of needles pass the cutting area the tow of fibers is raised away from the surface of the carrier to enable cutting of the fibers by a cutter blade. The cut fibers are held by the needles until such reach the depositing area wherein the particular row of needles is retracted to deposit the cut fibers on a receiving means.

    摘要: An air spinning device with an injection nozzle and a twisting nozzle is adjusted to the highest possible delivery speed for a desired yarn quality by predetermining the desired spinning tension of the yarn. According to the predetermined spinning tension, the highest possible delivery speed is regulated by changing the injection nozzle pressure and/or the spinning draft. Several spinning stations are installed on the air spinning device. At the spinning station, a measuring device to determine the yarn quality is installed between the twisting nozzle and the draw-off rollers. The measuring device is connected to adjusting devices of at least one spinning station. When the yarn quality is changed, the measuring device, together with the adjusting devices influences at least this spinning station.

    摘要: A full mold casting process in which a complete, positive model made of a thermally decomposable material is placed in a molding box and filled with sand; the sand is hardened by tamping it in. Casting metal is poured on the thermally decomposable model and the model is decomposed by the casting heat. In order to fill up the cavities of the model and mold moldings with crucial cavities, reliably with the molding sand, the sand is subjected to either a positive or negative pressure differential during the sand-filling phase to enclose and fill the model. The filling and hardening of the sand is further assisted through the fact that simultaneous vibration of the molding box is carried out while the sand is subjected to pressure differential.

    摘要: In an open-end spinning device with a spinning rotor a compressed air conduit is provided for directing an air current upon the inner surface of the spinning rotor. This compressed air conduit is connected through a stop valve to a source of compressed air. The compressed air conduit is provided with a pressure control device which can be pre-set to at least two pressure levels. The pressure control device has parallel conduits of which one conduit is provided with a pressure reduction device for the low pressure.During the preparation of the piecing operation, compressed air, at high pressure, is fed into the spinning rotor to clean said spinning rotor. Subsequently, but before the start of fiber feeding into the spinning rotor, the compressed air is reduced to a lower pressure value and is finally switched off before the yarn is fed back into the spinning rotor.The invention includes the process for restarting the open-end spinning device. Both the process and the device may be manually or automatically operated.
