    摘要: Systems and methods for providing an optical lens for a head mounted display (HMD) or other application that is cost-effective and has high performance. A lens assembly may include a first, relatively thin lens and a second, relatively thick lens. The first lens may include microfeatures on at least one optical transmission surface thereof. The second lens may include at least one curved surface, such that the second lens is plano-convex, bi-convex, etc. Each of the first lens and the second lens may include mounting areas disposed about a periphery of the respective optical transmission areas of the lenses that include complementary mounting microfeatures thereon that enable the first and second lens to be coupled together and, when so coupled, to be self-aligned with each other within a very low tolerance. The mounting microfeatures may be provided on the lenses using a high precision process (e.g., diamond turning) also used to generate the microfeatures on at least one optical transmission surface of the first, relatively thin, lens of the lens assembly.

    摘要: There is disclosed a system and method for transferring waste heat from integrated circuits. In an embodiment, the system comprises: a self-contained enclosure having integrated circuits therein, the self-contained enclosure further including: a first fluid circuit configured for removing waste heat from the integrated circuits; an inlet for connection from an external water tank and an outlet for connection to the external water tank, that when connected with the external water tank forms a second fluid circuit; a heat exchanger operatively connected to the first fluid circuit and the second fluid circuit, and configured to transfer thermal energy therebetween; and a control for regulating a temperature gradient and a flow rate in each of the first and second fluid circuits, such that both a desired integrated circuit operating temperature and a desired water tank temperature is achieved. A plurality of self-contained enclosures co-located with water tanks may form nodes of a distributed computing and heating network.

    摘要: A support member system is described for association with an overhead transport system. The support member system provides a safety feature to the overhead transport system by which the overhead transport system is able to avoid damage to wafers that are contained within a wafer cassette that is unintentionally released by the overhead transport system. The support member system is able to prevent such released cassettes from impacting the ground or tools located under the overhead transport system. The support member system targets wafer cassettes that have dimensions which are different than the dimensions of wafer cassettes for which the overhead transport system was originally designed to transport. Stocker systems for receiving, storing and delivering different types of wafer cassettes are also described.

    摘要: A circuit for startup of a multi-stage amplifier circuit includes a pair of input nodes and at least two output nodes configured to be coupled to a multi-stage amplifier circuit. A startup differential stage includes a differential pair of transistors having respective control terminals coupled to the pair of input nodes, and each transistor in the differential pair of transistors has a respective current path therethrough between a respective output node and a common source terminal. The startup differential stage is configured to sense a common mode voltage drop at a first differential stage of the multi-stage amplifier circuit. Current mirror circuitry includes a plurality of transistors coupled to the common terminal of the differential pair of transistors and coupled to two output nodes of the at least two output nodes.
