    Abstract: A method for detecting a jamming transmitter affecting a communication user equipment, operating in a cellular network supporting communication in a time-division manner, including at least one active base station, on which the user equipment is camping. In the method, the user equipment detects that at least one downlink radio channel from the active base station is not decodable, measures signal levels received on said downlink radio channel for a plurality of time units, analyzes said signal level measurements, and in case at least one time unit is detected with a signal level exceeding a predefined threshold, detects a jamming transmitter by verifying that, in a predefined amount of successive time units, the pattern of a first time unit with signal level exceeding the predefined threshold, directly followed by a second time unit with a signal level below the predefined threshold, is not detected.

    Abstract: A base station in a cellular radio network and user equipment assigned to a cell are linked by an air interface for communication on a respective communication channel in a communication band. The same communication band is common to at least one of the cells and to the user equipment on the respective communication channel of a cell. A jamming transmitter is detected by decoding a cell, by way of successful reading of control information of the cell, detecting a wideband power parameter representative of the communication band, and detecting a channel power parameter representative for a part of the communication band that is a communication channel. A narrowband jamming transmitter is indicated in the case that decoding of the cell failed, the wideband power parameter is not above a first threshold, and the channel power parameter is above a second threshold.

    Abstract: User equipment communicates by means of a primary base node and at least one secondary base node of a cellular network that are respectively assigned to different radio access networks. The user equipment sends a first message comprising its available capabilities to the primary base node, and receives a first indication from the primary base node relating to the capabilities being used by the primary base node. It sends a second message to the secondary base node, comprising those capabilities not being used by the primary base node. and receives a second indication from the secondary base node relating to the capabilities being used by the secondary base node. It sends a third message with still unused capabilities to the primary base node. and initiates a communication link with a remote terminal by means of the primary and the secondary base nodes using the configured capabilities.
