Abstract: System, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to generating a recommendation for a destination or a route based on desired attributes. In one embodiment, a method of generating a recommendation responsive to one or more requested attributes, includes generating a location tensor associated with a geographical location, the location tensor being a multidimensional datastructure that indicates one or more attributes of the geographical location, extracting, from the location tensor, an embedding that indicates information contained in the location tensor, storing the embedding in a database in association with the geographical location, analyzing a plurality of embeddings in the database to identify at least one geographic area having attributes that correspond with the one or more requested attributes, and generating a recommendation that includes the at least one geographic area.

Abstract: System, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to using vehicles as mobile observation platforms and improving the querying of visual data within the vehicles by leveraging edge computing resources of the vehicles in a distributed network. In one embodiment, a method includes, in response to receiving, in a selected vehicle that is equipped with at least one camera, a visual query from a remote device, identifying search parameters from the query that specify at least visual content that is to be identified. The method includes analyzing a subset of a visual inventory to identify whether the subset includes the visual content by using at least a machine vision model executing on a processor within the selected vehicle. The visual inventory includes camera data that is acquired by the selected vehicle. The method includes communicating detection results about whether the subset includes the visual content to the remote device.

Abstract: A system for controlling vehicle sensors includes one or more processors and a memory coupled to the one or more processors and storing a sensor control module including instructions that control processor(s) to, if the vehicle is not moving, and responsive to occurrence of an event, control operation of at least one radar sensor to scan the vehicle occupant compartment at a first scanning rate. Responsive to an occurrence of another event following commencement of scanning at the first scanning rate, the processor(s) control operation of the at least one radar sensor to scan the occupant compartment at a second scanning rate different from the first scanning rate. After passage of a predetermined time period after commencement of scanning at the second scanning rate, it is determined whether a living object resides in the occupant compartment. If no living object resides in the occupant compartment, radar scanning of the occupant compartment is discontinued.

Abstract: In one embodiment, example systems and methods relate to ordering food from a vehicle. A driver or a passenger of a vehicle indicates that they would like to order food from the vehicle by speaking a command, or by making a selection on a display associated with the vehicle. In response to the indication, the vehicle determines one or more restaurants that are near the vehicle, or that are near the route being traveled by the vehicle. After the driver or passenger selects a restaurant, the vehicle loads a restaurant specific natural language understanding model that is associated with the restaurant. As the driver or passenger speaks their order, the restaurant specific natural language understanding model is used to process the audio and generate an order. The order and an estimated time of arrival of the vehicle is provided electronically to the restaurant.

Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods of reporting the fuel level in a fuel tank of a vehicle. The method includes receiving a fuel consumption curve and a fuel refill curve, receiving a first fuel level value and a second fuel level value from a fuel level sensor; and determining whether the vehicle is consuming fuel or receiving fuel based on a change between the first fuel level value and the second fuel level value. In response to determining that the vehicle is consuming fuel, the method further includes determining a fuel gauge display value based on the second fuel level value and the fuel consumption curve. In response to determining that the vehicle is receiving fuel, the method further includes determining a fuel gauge display value based on the second fuel level value and the fuel refill curve. The fuel gauge display value is presented on a fuel gauge display.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating vehicle profiles and rendering and operating a virtual world are disclosed. Abstract: In one embodiment, a system for modifying an appearance of a vehicle interior includes a display device including an electronic display operable to display images overlaid on the vehicle interior, a camera operable to acquire video data of the vehicle interior, one or more processors, and a computer-readable medium storing computer-readable instructions that cause the one or more processors to identify three or more reference fiducials within the vehicle interior using the video data, and display an updated interior image using the electronic display such that the updated image is overlaid on the vehicle interior, wherein the interior image comprises three or more image fiducials that are overlaid on the three or more reference fiducials and the updated interior image modifies the vehicle interior.
