Abstract:
A method of assembling a magnetoresistive random access memory (MRAM) device includes providing a substrate having an opening. A tape is applied to a surface of the substrate and a first magnetic shield is placed onto the tape and within the substrate opening. An adhesive is applied between the first magnetic shield and the substrate to attach the first magnetic shield to the substrate. An MRAM die is attached to the first magnetic shield and bond pads of the MRAM die are connected to pads on the substrate with wires. A second magnetic shield is attached to a top surface of the MRAM die. An encapsulating material is dispensed onto the substrate, the MRAM die, the second magnetic shield and part of the first magnetic shield, cured, and then the tape is removed. Solder balls then may be attached to the substrate.
Abstract:
A method and a device for preparing a media stream containing more than one component stream for picture-in-picture applications are described along with the corresponding method and device for rendering the media stream in a picture-in-picture mode. The invention allows for live and dynamic picture-in-picture rendering of the component streams contained in the media stream. Extensions to the media formats that shall support various multimedia applications, such as the MPEG-2 Transport Stream and ISO media format, are proposed to enable such a dynamic picture-in-picture functionality.
Abstract:
A first handoff is for an inter-AN cell selection where a source AN allows the AT to add a cell under the control of a different AN to its active set and then allows the AT to switch to the target AN. A bearer path is established between the source and target AN to transfer the data traffic using an exchange of messages to register the AT's movement from one BTS to another BTS. The A8/A10 connections remain anchored at the source AN so a bearer path is needed between the source and target AN to transfer the data traffic. The second handoff occurs when the source AN specifies a move of the AT to a new AN proactively. New connections are established at the target AN to support the AT, and the AT is subsequently moved to the target AN via the relevant air-interface messaging.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and machine-readable and executable instructions are provided for encryption key storage. Encryption key storage may include associating each of a plurality of identifiers with a different one of a plurality of key fragment stores, determining a plurality of indexes, where each of the plurality of indexes is based upon a handle provided by a customer, an authorization token provided by the customer, and a different one of the plurality of identifiers, partitioning an encryption key provided by the customer into a number of encryption key fragments, and distributing the plurality of indexes and the number of encryption key fragments to the plurality of key fragment stores.
Abstract:
Substrates, optionally coated with an undercoating, having grafted thereto one or more non-fouling materials are described herein. The non-fouling, polymeric material can be grafted to a variety of functionalized substrate materials, particularly polymeric substrates and/or polymeric undercoatings immobilized on a substrate. The compositions described herein are highly resistant protein absorption, particularly in complex media and retain a high degree of non-fouling activity over long periods of time. The compositions described herein may also demonstrate antimicrobial and/or anti-thrombogenic activity. The non-fouling material can be grafted to a functionalized substrate, or optionally from an undercoating on the substrate, preferably without significantly affecting the mechanical and/or physical properties of the substrate material.
Abstract:
Novel heterocyclic aromatic compounds are provided that are useful in stimulating endogenous production or release of growth hormone, said compounds having the general structure of formula I wherein R1, R1′, R2, R3, R4, Xa, Y, Z and n are as described herein. The compounds provided herein are useful in treating obesity, osteoporosis (improving bone density) and in improving muscle mass and muscle strength.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a detection method and a detection kit for EGFR gene mutations, which relates to the therapeutic efficacy of molecular-targeted anti-cancer drugs. Particularly, the present invention relates to a fluorescent quantitative PCR method and kit for detecting mutations at hotspots of EGFR gene, together with the use thereof. The present invention detects the mutations at specific sites of EGFR gene, and can predict the therapeutic efficacy of EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors. Therefore, it can provide a guidance to individualize treatments for cancer patients.
Abstract:
A wireless communications network includes a base station to communicate with plural mobile stations over a wireless link. A broadcast message is sent to the plural mobile stations, with the broadcast message containing an indication for indicating to the plural mobile stations that the mobile stations are to change data rates for transmissions over a reverse wireless link.
Abstract:
A system and a method for protecting a resistive touch panel of a communication device includes setting a pressure threshold level, obtaining parameter values of the resistive touch panel and location information of the touch point and calculating the value of the touch resistance. The system and the method further includes confirming a pressure level corresponding to a range of the calculated resistance value, and outputting audio alerts using the alarm unit to prompt that the press action on the resistive touch panel is too forceful if the confirmed pressure level is not lower than the pressure threshold level.
Abstract:
A system and method automatically backup unsaved data in a communication device if a back cover of the communication device is removed. An identifier of an application of the communication device is received. Based on the received identifier, an application corresponding to the received identifier is registered. If the back cover of the communication device is removed, a save signal is sent to the registered application and the unsaved data of the registered application is saved to a storage unit of the communication device.
