摘要: In the case of an impactor (1) with an impact plate (7) and a classifying nozzle (2) directed at this impact plate (7), in the case of which the impact plate (7) is formed as an electronically readable resonantly oscillating, mass-sensitive element (7, 33), it is proposed to move the oscillating crystal (7, 33) held in an impact plate holder (8) in relation to the static classifying nozzle (2) by a motor (12) during the operation of the impactor (1).

摘要: A method for treating an affected portion in a heart comprises a catheter having a first end and a second end; a mono-polar or bi-polar electrode coupled to the first end, wherein the electrode is adapted to be inserted into heart tissue; a power source coupled to the second end and configured to energize the electrode, wherein the electrode emits a radio frequency (RF) signal upon being energized to heat the affected portion to a desired temperature; a temperature feedback control coupled to the electrode and the power source, wherein electrode is configured to alter the emitted RF signal based on a measured temperature of the affected portion. A rotatable member is configured to allow a first portion of the catheter to freely rotate with respect to a second portion of the catheter.

摘要: A method for determining the quantity of an analyte in a fluid is described along with various components of an apparatus designed to carry out the method. The method involves habituating a patient's eye to one or more colors, measuring the recovery time, and correlating the recovery time to the quantity of the analyte. A reproducible, objective, non-attentiveness-dependant test for assessing analyte levels is further disclosed. To this end, a device that measures saccadic eye movements may be used to assess the return of vision to the prehabituated state. The method and apparatus are particularly suited for noninvasively measuring blood glucose levels.
