摘要: The present disclosure provides a method for separating and purifying a landfill gas stream. In one embodiment, the method includes a step of collecting a crude landfill gas stream which includes at least methane, carbon dioxide, oxygen, and nitrogen gases. The method also includes a step of separating the crude landfill gas stream into at least an intermediate landfill gas stream and a first waste gas stream using a membrane separation unit, wherein the intermediate landfill gas stream is enriched in methane and depleted in carbon dioxide relative to the crude landfill gas stream. The method further includes a step of separating the intermediate landfill gas stream into at least a final landfill gas stream and a second waste gas stream using a pressure swing adsorption separation unit, wherein the final landfill gas stream is enriched in methane and depleted in carbon dioxide, oxygen, and nitrogen relative to the intermediate landfill gas stream. In some embodiments. VOCs in the waste gas streams are destroyed using a thermal oxidizer.

摘要: An acoustic receiver for sensing acoustic waves and generating orthogonal triaxial acoustic response data representative of said acoustic waves is disclosed. The receiver has at least four acoustic sensors oriented in at least four different directions. Each of the acoustic sensors is adapted to produce an electrical signal in response to an acoustic wave impinging thereon. The inventive acoustic receiver also includes means for combining the electrical signals to yield orthogonal triaxial acoustic response data. In one embodiment the means for combining the electrical signals comprises wiring the acoustic sensors in two series pairs to produce a combined output along two of the three orthogonal axes and orienting at least one acoustic sensor substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the acoustic receiver.

摘要: A method and apparatus associated with the production of hydrocarbons is disclosed. The method, which relates to modeling of drilling equipment, includes constructing one or more design configurations for at least a portion of a bottom hole assembly (BHA) and calculating results from each of the one or more design configurations. The calculated results of the modeling may include one or more performance indices that characterize the BHA vibration performance of the design configurations for operating parameters and boundary conditions that are substantially the same or may be different. These results are then simultaneously displayed for a user to facilitate design selection. The selected BHA design configuration may then be utilized in a well construction operation and thus associated with the production of hydrocarbons.

摘要: A method for controlling hydrocarbon recovery to improve well interactions while preventing excessive strain or stress-induced well deformations and mechanical failures is described. The method incorporates a systematic, transient analysis process for determining the formation effective displacement, stress and excess pore pressure field quantities at any depth within a stratified subterranean formation resulting from the subsurface injection and/or withdrawal of pressurized fluids.

摘要: A perforating gun assembly for use in perforating multiple intervals of at least one subterranean formation intersected by a cased wellbore and in treating the multiple intervals using a diversion agent, such as ball sealers. In one embodiment, the apparatus of the present invention comprises a perforating assembly having a plurality of select-fire perforating devices interconnected by connector subs, with each of the perforating devices having multiple perforating charges. The apparatus also includes at least one decentralizer, attached to at least one of the perforating devices, which is adapted to eccentrically position the perforating assembly within the cased wellbore so as to create sufficient ball sealer clearance between the perforating assembly and the inner wall of the cased wellbore to permit passage of at least one ball sealer.
