摘要: An electronic card device includes a Radio Frequency (RF) circuit configured to receive information from a remote broadcast transmitter, a memory associated with the RF circuit to store a unique identifier of the electronic card device, and a processor communicatively coupled to the memory. The processor is configured to enable reception of the information from the remote broadcast transmitter based on the unique identifier of the electronic card device in the memory to generate data configured to facilitate consumer activity on part of a user of the electronic card device through the electronic card device. Also, the electronic card device includes a display unit integrated therewith configured to display output data related to the data generated through the processor.

摘要: A transistor circuit is provided including a driving transistor where conductance between the source and the drain is controlled in response to a supplied voltage, and a compensating transistor where the gate is connected to one of the source and the drain, the compensating transistor being connected so as to supply input signals to the gate of the driving transistor through the source and drain. In a transistor circuit where conductance control in a driving transistor is carried out in response to the voltage of input signals, it is possible to control the conductance by using input signals of a relatively low voltage and a variance in threshold characteristics of driving transistors is compensated. With this transistor circuit, a display panel that can display picture images with reduced uneven brightness is achieved.

摘要: This invention relates to methods of analysis, and in particular to methods for the preliminary fractionation of samples in which low abundance molecules of interest, for example proteins, polysaccharides or fatty acids, are present together with more abundant molecules of little or no interest. In particular, the invention relates to methods of depletion of high abundance proteins from biological samples. Products and kits for use in the method are also disclosed, and form part of the invention. In one aspect, the invention provides a method of depleting a high-abundance molecule from a biological sample, comprising the steps of a) subjecting the sample to affinity depletion using an affinity support with high affinity for a high abundance molecule, and/or b) immunodepletion using an affinity support coupled to an antibody directed against whole or previously fractionated plasma or serum.

摘要: Methods and devices for reducing costs associated with life settlement transactions include an initial economic evaluation and a targeted but abbreviated verification of information provided by a potential customer and gathering of additional information, followed by a conditional offer for those policies that satisfy the economic criteria (e.g., face value of policy, stated life expectancy, etc.) and for which the abbreviated verification is positive. The verification and additional information may be performed by one or more of following: 1) a query of a prescription database in which the identity and use of the prescription drugs identified by the customer are determined; 2) a questionnaire filled out by a physician treating the patient for a particular illness; and 3) a telephone inquiry of the insured. If the additional information and verification are consistent with the initial information, the life settlement is completed.

摘要: An airbeam, inflated to create a structural member, has three functional layers in its wall: a flexible gas barrier and a braided reinforcing layer plus the novelty of an additional braided layer. Key design factors are the bias angles of the braids in the two braided layers: that of the inner one greater than 54.7 degrees bias angle and of the outer one less than 54.7 degrees bias angle. The two layers of braid being slipped over another allows the airbeam to be formed with bends for a wide variety of shapes.

A discharge valve is disposed in the pneumatic assembly between the high pressure chamber and hammer chamber. A solenoid valve is provided for selectively supplying compressed gas to the hammer conduit.

A brake assembly (68) is disposed in the housing (1) and has a ratchet member (43). A driver (21) includes at least one external tooth (57) engaging the ratchet member (43). The engagement between the ratchet member (43) and the at least one external tooth (57) substantially prevents the driver (21) from rotating with respect to the dose set knob (2) during dose setting and dose correcting. The engagement between the ratchet member (43) and the at least one external tooth (57) allows the driver (21) to rotate with the dose set knob (2) during an injection.
