Abstract: A communication method and a related apparatus are provided. The method includes: after determining that the cell accessed by the terminal device is a cell of the mobile relay, a first access network device proactively reports current location information of the mobile relay to the core network device serving the terminal device, so that the core network device determines the location information of the terminal device based on the location information of the mobile relay. This resolves a problem that cell information of the mobile relay may not match an actual geographical location of the terminal device.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a broadcast communication method and apparatus. An identifier of a first broadcast service is sent to a radio access network device, so that the radio access network device can identify the same first broadcast service in different networks. Moreover, the disclosure relates to a user plane network entity and a radio access network node for anchoring and providing a multicast/broadcast service respectively.
