In a vacuum pump self-diagnosis system for making self-diagnosis of a vacuum pump which comprises a casing and a rotor rotatably arranged in the casing for sucking and discharging a gas through rotations of the rotor, the rotor comprises a plurality of stages and a pressure sensor is provided between the rotor stages. A self-diagnosis unit is provided for calculating an integrated value or an average value of a current of a motor for rotating said rotor, and making self-diagnosis of the vacuum pump when the integrated value or average value exceeds a predetermined alarm set value. The self-diagnosis unit switches from one self-diagnosis calculation method to another or interrupts the self-diagnosis calculation based on a pressure value detected by said pressure sensor.

The LD driver includes an inverting amplifier, an emitter follower connected in down stream of the inverting amplifier, a driving transistor driven by the emitter follower, and a current-mirror circuit connected in series to the inverting amplifier. The mirror current generated from the current flowing in the inverting amplifier is provided to the output of the emitter follower served for discharging the input capacitance of the driving transistor.

A trans-impedance amplifier (TIA) for a light-receiving circuit is disclosed where the TIA reduces the power consumption as suppressing the degradation of the signal quality in high frequency regions. The TIA comprises a primary core, a dummy core, and a differential amplifier that receives each output of two cores in the differential mode. Two cores have an arrangement substantially same to each other except that the power consumption thereof is smaller in the dummy core. Because the output impedance of two cores becomes substantially equal, the scattering parameter of the common mode to the differential mode at the output of the primary core becomes small enough.

Even the main amplifier is coupled with the receiver optical module in the AC mode; no complicated response appears in the input of the main amplifier.

A new offset canceling circuit for a differential circuit is disclosed whose input offset voltage may be cancelled independent of the variation of the input level, accordingly, enables the cut-off frequency of the canceling circuit unchanged. The offset canceller of the invention provides a buffer amplifier and a filter. The filter includes a capacitance multiplier including an operational amplifier (Op-Amp) operating in the inverting mode and a capacitor connected between the input and output of the Op-Amp. The Op-Amp operating in the inverting mode whose closed loop gain is solely determined by resistors, and the capacitance of the capacitor is multiplied by the closed loop gain of the Op-Amp by the Miller effect.
