    Abstract: A method of controlling a washing machine. The washing machine includes a tub with an entry hole configured to receive laundry, a drum rotatably disposed in the tub, a ring-shaped gasket disposed along a circumference of the entry hole of the tub, a pump configured to circulate water that is discharged from the tub, and at least one circulation nozzle provided in the gasket and configured to spray the water that is circulated by the pump into the drum. The method includes: supplying water into the tub; rotating the drum; accelerating a pump speed of the pump while the drum rotates; and based on the pump speed of the pump reaching a threshold speed during the acceleration of the pump, opening a spray valve of the washing machine such that water supplied from an external water source is sprayed into the drum through a direct water nozzle.

    Abstract: A method of controlling a washing machine. The washing machine includes a tub configured to receive water, a drum rotatably disposed in the tub, a volute pump including (i) an impeller configured to rotate in one or more directions to pump water discharged from the tub and (ii) a pump housing that defines a volute-shaped passage configured to guide water pumped by the impeller, and a circulating water supply device configured to supply water discharged from an outlet port of the volute pump into the drum. The method includes: supplying water and detergent into the tub; and rotating the impeller of the volute pump in a first direction to discharge a first amount of water from the volute pump, the first amount of water being less than a second amount of water discharged from the volute pump based on the impeller being rotated in a second direction.

    Abstract: A method of controlling a washing machine that includes a drum rotatably provided in a tub that receives water, at least one nozzle spraying water into the drum, a washing motor rotating the drum, and a circulation pump circulating water within the washing machine, the method including: controlling a rotation of the drum by operating the washing motor to rotate the drum at a first rotation speed in a first rotation direction, and to maintain a rotation of the drum at the first rotation speed in the first rotation direction so that laundry in the drum maintains contact with an inner circumferential surface of the drum; and controlling a pump speed of the circulation pump by operating a circulation pump motor in the circulation pump to accelerate and decelerate at least once while the washing motor rotates the drum at the first rotation speed in the first rotation direction.

    Abstract: Disclosed are a method for controlling a congestion in a wireless communication system and a device for same. More particularly, a method for executing a congestion control by a network node in a wireless communication system can comprise the steps of: detecting the congestion of one or more dedicated core networks (DCN) served by the network node; receiving a non-access stratum (NAS) request message from user equipment (UE); obtaining subscription information, which includes a UE usage type of the UE, from a home subscriber server (HSS); selecting a DCN for serving the UE based on the UE usage type; and, when the DCN for serving the UE is a DCN of which the congestion has been detected, transmitting to the UE a NAS reject message, which includes a backoff timer of the selected DCN, as a response to the NAS request message.

Particularly, a method for controlling paging of a user equipment (UE) in which Idle-mode Signaling Reduction (ISR) is activated performed by a Serving Gateway (S-GW) in a wireless communication system may include transmitting a Downlink Data Notification (DDN) message to both of a first network node and a second network node, when receiving downlink data from a Packet Data Network Gateway (P-GW); and, when receiving a DDN Reject message from either one network node of the first network node and the second network node in response to the DDN message, transmitting a Stop Paging Indication message to a remaining network node.
