    摘要： A print head of this invention has a plurality of heater boards, and each heater board has a plurality of heating resistors, driver circuits corresponding to the heating resistors, one shiftregister for inputting serial data, a data latch circuit for latching print data input from the shift register, a pre-heat data latch circuit for latching selection data of selecting one or several of pre-heat signals input from the shift register, and a pre-heat selection circuit for selecting one or a plurality of pre-heat signals in accordance with the selection data latched in the pre-heat data latch circuit. In a print operation, one or several of the plurality of input pre-heat signals are selected to pre-heat the heating resistors, and when a main heat signal is input thereafter, the heating resistors are driven in accordance with the print data latched by the data latch circuit, thus performing the print operation.

    摘要： An ink jet recording apparatus and ink jet recording method record using different kinds of ink each having the same series color and a different density. The jet recording apparatus includes a converting unit for converting an input image density signal into an output image density signal, a binary unit for converting the output image density signal into binary data, an inverting unit for inverting the binary data, and a distributing unit for distributing the binary data inverted and binary data to be inverted to drive data for an ink discharge unit and drive data for another ink discharge unit. Density unevenness and texture which arise from an image process, particularly a binary process, can be prevented. Different kinds of ink, each of which has the same series color and a different density, are respectively scanned so as not to overlap on the same pixel. Density unevenness due to ink soaking can be suppressed because different kinds of ink each having the same series color and a different density, are not shot at the same position.

    摘要： An ink jet print head is provided which includes: a print element substrate; a plate accommodating the print element substrate by enclosing a side peripheral portion of the print element substrate; an electric wiring tape member disposed on the plate and having electric wiring portions for the print element substrate; a first sealant filling a space surrounding the print element substrate enclosed by the plate; and a second sealant covering a part of the electric wiring portions. In this construction, stress concentrations in the electric connections are alleviated even if the electric wiring tape used to support the second sealant has a reduced stiffness due to a reduced thickness of the tape. For this purpose, the plate H1401′ is provided with protrusions H1402 as support members that support the second sealant H1308 through the extension portions H1305 of the electric wiring tape.
