摘要： An erasing device for a magnetic video recorder is disclosed which includes a means for reproducing a code signal and a video signal from a magnetic medium. The code signal is discriminated to decide whether the video signal is a field video signal or a frame video signal. When the video signal is discriminated to be the frame video signal, the erasing device erases the video signal over a broader range than when the video signal is discriminated to be a field video signal.

摘要： In an apparatus for recording a data sequence including main binary data of an (m X n) number of bits formed by sampling a main information signal and a plurality of subordinate binary data of also an (m X n) number of bits respectively carrying additional information of varied kinds, recording tracks are formed one after another with data which includes the main binary data representing the main information signal sampled within a given period of time and the plurality of subordinate binary data recorded in each of the tracks; and recording is performed in such a manner that, among the plurality of subordinate binary data, the meaning of information carried by a second n number of bits varies according as the condition of the data varies between a case where l-adic numerical data is arranged to be formed by a first n number of bits within the plurality of subordinate binary data and another case where irregular data is formed there as the l-adic numerical data cannot be formed by the first n number of bits (n and m being integers, respectively, and l being an integer not exceeding 2.sup.n).

摘要： In an apparatus of the kind arranged to reproduce, with a plurality of rotary heads, an information signal from a record bearing medium having many recording tracks which are parallel to each other with the information signal recorded therein and with a plurality of different pilot signals of different frequencies also recorded one by one, one in each of the recording tracks, a plurality of different reference signals of different frequencies are simultaneously generated. A tracking error is detected by using the different reference signals together with the pilot signals which are included in signals reproduced from the plurality of rotary heads.
