    摘要: A monoconical antenna comprises: a substantially conical concavity formed in one end face of a dielectric; a radiation electrode provided on the surface of the concavity; and a ground conductor provided in proximity to and substantially in parallel with the other end face opposite the one end face of the dielectric. The monoconical antenna is so constituted that electrical signals are fed to between the near vertex region of the radiation electrode and the region of the ground conductor. The half-cone angle α of the substantially conical concavity formed in the one end face of the dielectric is determined by a predetermined rule corresponding to relative dielectric constant εr. Thus, the quality of wideband characteristics inherent in the monoconical antenna can be sufficiently maintained, and further size reduction can be accomplished by dielectric loading.

    摘要: A broadband antenna apparatus includes a conducting ground plate, on which a three-dimensional member rests. A radiating conductor is stuck or printed on the three-dimensional member in such a manner that at least part of the radiating conductor is opposite to at least part of the ground plate. A wavelength shortening effect is achieved by the interposition of the three-dimensional member between the opposite parts of ground plate 1 and radiating conductor. This effect makes the broadband antenna apparatus smaller and lower in structure.

    摘要: Disclosed are a wireless communication apparatus, a wireless communication method, and a computer program for intercommunication between a plurality of wireless stations. In a reception standby state, packet detection is performed by using a part of the plurality of reception branches to disable the reception operation of the remaining reception branches that do not perform packet detection, and thereby reducing the power consumption during packet detection standby. Further, in a packet reception state, only the minimum necessary number of reception branches for receiving signal that is spatially multiplexed is enabled by MIMO transmission, and thereby reducing the power consumption also during reception of MIMO signals.

An external-antenna connecting apparatus and an onboard external-antenna connecting apparatus have an electromagnetic coupling circuit in their bodies that electromagnetically couples the antenna of a portable radio terminal and an external antenna, with the external-antenna connecting apparatus and the onboard external-antenna connecting apparatus, being not in contact with the portable radio terminal with respect to DC components, when the portable radio terminal is secured in the bodies.
