摘要: A vehicle headlamp is provided with a light emitting module. The light emitting module is provided with a light emitting portion and a frame member. The frame member surrounds the light emitting portion to define a light emitting surface. The frame member includes a first surface and a second surface in which a part of an internal diffusing/reflection light reflected on the first surface is to be projected upwardly of a cutoff line of a low-beam light distribution pattern, and a part of the internal diffusing/reflection light reflected on the second surface is to be projected downwardly of the cutoff line. A reflectance of the first surface is lower than a reflectance of the second surface.

摘要: A vehicle lamp has a light source having an edge extending linearly, a first reflector, and a second reflector. The vehicle lamp forms a light distribution pattern having cut-off lines at an upper end section thereof by sequentially reflecting light from the light source using the first and second reflectors. An edge of the light source is disposed so as to extend in the horizontal direction. A first reflecting surface of the first reflector is formed of a curved surface, and shaped such that, when an image of the light source formed on the first reflecting surface of the first reflector is viewed from respective points on a first reflecting surface of the second reflector, an edge portion of the image of the light source corresponding to the edge of the light source appears to be inclined with respect to the horizontal direction.

摘要: A lamp unit includes a linear light source that extends at an angle with respect to an optical axis; and a reflector that reflects light radiated from the linear light source. The reflector has a predetermined section that reflects light radiated from the linear light source such that images of the linear light source projected on a predetermined virtual panel extend in a predetermined direction. The reflector is configured so as to forms a high-intensity region that linearly extends in the predetermined direction and whose intensity of which is higher than a surrounding area. The high-intensity region is formed by superimposing light reflected by the predetermined section and a surrounding section thereof on the virtual plane.

摘要: A vehicular headlamp includes at least one a light source irradiating visible light and a lens allowing the visible light from the light source to pass through to forward of a vehicle. The light source and the lens are mounted in a rotating element. Alternatively, the vehicular headlamp includes at least one a light source irradiating visible light, and a mirror mounted on a rotating element and arranged to reflect the visible light from the at least one light source to forward of a vehicle. The vehicular headlamp also includes a scanning actuator for reciprocatingly rotating the rotating element so as to form a light distribution pattern forward of the vehicle and a light distribution control portion for controlling the scanning actuator such that a portion of the light distribution pattern is relatively bright.

摘要: For eliminating waste of ink and achieving high charging efficiency with a reduced charging time where a printing head is equipped with a second tank for reserving a predetermined amount of ink and a supply system is configured to supply ink from a first tank to the second tank intermittently, the second tank is provided with a variable internal volume. The internal volume is varied to cause the second tank itself to function as an actuator for charging ink and performing a venting process. Specifically, the internal volume is forcibly reduced to cause a reverse flow of a gas residing in the second tank along with ink into the first tank, which makes it possible to generate of waste ink that is released to the outside. A normal charging operation can be completed simply by causing a change in the opposite direction (the direction of increasing the internal volume). Relatedly, the second tank may be provided with a member for holding ink and generating a negative pressure originating from an elastic force. With connection of the first tank and the member, the pressure in the second tank is reduced to cause the member to expand, thereby introducing ink into the same. This introduction is stopped by regulating the expansion with a displaceable unit which expands when the pressure is reduced. The regulation is performed at such a position that the negative pressure generated in the member by canceling regulation is in equilibrium with an ink meniscus-holding ability of the printing head.

摘要: An apparatus provided with a carriage is guided and supported by at least two guide members, a guide shaft and a guide rail, arranged to be parallel to each other to enable the carriage to reciprocate. The guide members are arranged apart from each other substantially in the vertical direction, and the horizontal distance L1 between each guide member and the gravitational center of the carriage is arranged to be larger than the vertical interval L2 between the contact portions of the carriage and each guide member. With the structure thus arranged, it is possible to maximize the reduction of the swinging or vibration of a carriage so that the apparatus provided with the carriage can effect reciprocal scanning exactly and stably, thus realizing a small and high-performance apparatus that records images in high precision or reads highly precise images.

摘要: An ion concentration measuring apparatus for measuring the concentration of a measuring ion in a sample solution containing the measuring ion and an interfering ion having the same ionic charge number as that of the measuring ion. This apparatus comprises a first ion-selective electrode for generating a potential in response to the measuring ion, and a second ion-selective electrode in response to the interfering ion. The first ion-selective electrode is brought about in contact with a first, second and third standard solutions, each containing known concentrations of ions. A selectivity coefficient of the ion-selective electrode is calculated on the basis of the output potential of the first ion-selective electrode. The first and second ion-selective electrodes are brought about in contact with the sample solution. The concentration of the measuring ion in the sample solution is calculated on the basis of the output potential of the first and second ion-selective electrodes which have been obtained through the contact thereof with the sample solution and the selectivity coefficient. A ratio between the concentration of the measuring ion and the interfering ion in the first standard solution being identical to a ratio between the concentration of the measuring ion and the interfering ion in the second standard solution, and not identical to a ratio between the concentration of the measuring ion and the interfering ion in the third standard solution.
