Abstract: A system for reducing sensor variability includes a sensor configured to generate real-time data relating to glucose sensitivity. The system causes performance of accessing the real-time data from the sensor relating to glucose sensitivity and inputting the real-time data into a machine learning model. The system also causes performance of estimating by the machine learning model an expected glucose sensitivity based on the real-time data and correcting the glucose sensitivity based on the expected glucose sensitivity.

Abstract: A sensor assembly for sensing a physiological characteristic of a user includes a power source, a power control switch, and a power latch within a housing. The power control switch is electrically coupled to the power source, and is configured to inhibit delivery of power from the power source to one or more components of the sensor assembly before deployment of the sensor assembly to a user, and deliver power from the power source to the one or more components of the sensor assembly in response to the deployment of the sensor assembly to the user. The power latch is configured to, upon the deployment of the sensor assembly to the user, latch an output of the power control switch to maintain the delivery of power from the power source to the one or more components of the sensor assembly while the sensor assembly is in a deployed state.

Abstract: A glucose sensor includes a working electrode configured to provide a current signal (IsigWE1) based on a level of glucose, a background electrode configured to provide a current signal (IsigWE2) based on a presence of an excipient of insulin, and a controller. The controller is configured to monitor the IsigWE1 at the working electrode, monitor the IsigWE2 at the background electrode, monitor at least one electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) parameter at the working electrode, and calculate a change in the at least one EIS parameter, detect presence of the excipient of insulin based on the change. In a case where the presence of the excipient of insulin is detected, the controller is further configured to compensate the IsigWE1 based on a predetermined relationship between the IsigWE1 and the IsigWE2, and output the compensated IsigWE1 (IsigCOMP).

Abstract: In some embodiments, an apparatus may comprise a first insertion needle and a second insertion needle. The first insertion needle may be configured to carry a first medical device (e.g., a sensor) through an opening in an apparatus housing. The second insertion needle may be configured to carry a second medical device (e.g., a cannula) along a curved path that passes through the opening in the apparatus housing such that a distal end of the first medical device becomes increasingly displaced from the distal end of the second medical device as the distal end of the second medical device is carried along the curved path.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are techniques related to medicine administration in dynamic networks. The techniques may involve identifying an amount of medicine for delivery to a patient and determining a communication path toward a first medicine administration device of a plurality of medicine administration devices in a mesh network. The plurality of medicine administration devices may further include a second medicine administration device that is prioritized over the first medicine administration device for delivering medicine to the patient. The techniques may further involve causing delivery of the amount of medicine to the patient by the first medicine administration device based on communicating the amount of medicine toward the first medicine administration device via the communication path when the amount of medicine remains undelivered by the second medicine administration device.

Abstract: Wearable medical devices are provided. An exemplary wearable medical device includes a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) comprising a dielectric layer having a top surface and conductive features on the top surface of the dielectric layer. Further, the exemplary wearable medical device includes a top housing mounted directly to the top surface of the PCBA. Also, the wearable medical device includes a power source located between the top housing and the PCBA. The top housing and the dielectric layer of the PCBA encapsulates the conductive features and power source and define an outer surface of the wearable medical device.
