Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Techniques for implementing positioning schemes based on a waveform report are described. A wireless device may receive a waveform reporting request instructing the wireless device to measure a waveform. The wireless device may identify a set of reporting parameters for sampling the waveform, receive the waveform, and generate samples of the waveform based on the set of reporting parameters. The wireless device may transmit a waveform report that is generated based on the samples.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration signal from a network entity, the configuration signal indicating a configuration for a first positioning reference signal. The UE may determine one or more properties associated with the first positioning reference signal based on the configuration signal. The UE may bypass at least one portion of a transmit chain associated with a scheduled transmission of the first positioning reference signal or a receive chain associated with a scheduled reception of a second positioning reference signal. The UE may then activate, after an end of the transmission or the reception, the at least one portion of the transmit chain associated with the scheduled transmission of the first positioning reference signal or the receive chain associated with a scheduled reception of the second positioning reference signal.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems (e.g., non-beam related channel state information (CSI) reporting), a CSI processing unit (CPU) may process CSI calculations for a CSI report. A user equipment may have a set number of CPUs. In some cases, there may not be enough CPUs available to process a CSI report for each CSI-RS due the CPU capability of the UE. In such cases, the UE may select a subset of the CSI-RSs to generate an extrapolated CSI report. To extrapolate, the UE may measure channel conditions of at least some pre-configured number (e.g., at least two) of CSI-RSs and determine the channel condition of a point later in time and report this extrapolation in a CSI report to the base station. A base station may schedule future data transmissions with the user equipment based on the extrapolated CSI report.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for determining a line-of-sight (LOS) path between a transmitter and a wireless device. In an aspect, a wireless device receives a first reference signal on a first frequency band at a first time, receives a second reference signal on a second frequency band at a second time, compares the first time to the second time, and determines, at least based on the comparison of the first time to the second time, which of the first reference signal and/or the second reference signal followed the LOS path between the transmitter and the wireless device.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods associated with interference aware sounding reference signals are provided. A method for wireless communication includes receiving, at a wireless communication device in communication with a first base station, an interfering signal from a second base station (or others); determining, at the wireless communication device, a spatial direction of the interfering signal; and transmitting, with the wireless communication device, a signal to the first base station based on the spatial direction of the interfering signal. Another method includes receiving, at a first base station, a signal from a wireless communication device, the signal based on a spatial direction of an interfering signal received by the wireless communication device from a second base station (or others); transmitting, with the first base station, a downlink communication to the wireless communication device, the downlink communication beamformed in the spatial direction based on the signal received from the wireless communication device.

The UE may receive a transport block from the base station. In some examples, the transport block may include one or more code blocks in a first code block group and one or more code blocks in a second code block group and may decode the one or more code blocks in the first code block group of the transport block. In some examples, the UE may deliver, to the medium access control (MAC) layer of the UE and based on the mode for processing the transport block, the one or more decoded code blocks in the first code block group before completing the decoding of the second code block group.

Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to encoding information and decoding information. In some aspects, the disclosure relates to an encoder and a decoder for Polar codes with HARQ. If a first transmission of the encoder fails, information bits associated with a lower quality channel may be retransmitted. At the decoder, the resulting decoded retransmitted bits may be used to decode the first transmission by substituting the retransmitted bits for the original corresponding (low quality channel) bits. In some aspects, to decode the first transmission, soft-combining is applied to the decoded retransmitted bits and the original corresponding (low quality channel) bits. In some aspects, CRC bits for a first transmission may be split between a first subset of bits and a second subset of bits. In this case, the second subset of bits and the associated CRC bits may be used for a second transmission (e.g., a retransmission).

In some aspects, a user equipment may determine at least one of a downlink path loss value or an uplink path loss value associated with a base station; receive system information, a semi-persistently configured grant via RRC or a dynamic uplink grant via DCI from the base station, wherein the RRC signaling or the dynamic uplink grant identifies a power control value associated with one user or a plurality of users associated with the base station; and determine a transmit power for a data or control transmission based at least in part on at least one of the downlink path loss value or the uplink path loss value and the power control value. Abstract: A method for wireless communications, comprising: signaling, to a user equipment (UE), an indication of one of at least two rules regarding how quasi co-location (QCL) configured for the UE should be applied for one or more DMRS ports; and sending downlink transmission to the UE with the one or more DMRS ports; receiving signaling from a base station and processing signals received on one or more DMRS ports based on the indicated rule. Said method improves communications between access points and stations in a wireless network.
