Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may establish a cellular connection with a base station associated with a cellular radio network. The UE may receive an access policy of the cellular radio network identifying an access preference rule for the UE to adopt for connections to a core network function of the cellular radio network, the access preference rule indicating for the UE to preferentially connect to the core network function via a non-cellular radio network. The UE may determine that a gateway between the non-cellular radio network and the core network function of the cellular radio network is not configured. The UE may determine that a gateway selection policy of the cellular radio network is not configured. The UE may establish a connection to a legacy core network function of a legacy cellular radio network via a legacy gateway.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for a user equipment (UE) to select a data connection based on which applications are active in a foreground process of an application processor. The UE may activate a dedicated data subscription (DDS) based on a list of active applications. In some aspects, the UE may programmatically initiate a DDS switch based on which applications are active. The UE may determine which data connection to activate as the DDS based on the application configuration information and which applications are active. Application configuration information may indicate preferences regarding different data connections to use for each application. The application configuration information may indicate a preferred radio access technology (RAT), a preferred communication network, a preferred subscription, or any combination thereof.

Abstract: Various embodiments provide methods, vehicle computing devices, storage media, and systems for unicast transmission of cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) Internet Protocol (IP) packets. Various embodiments may enable upper layers in a stack architecture to realize unicast transmission of C-V2X IP packets. In various embodiments, source port and destination IP address pairings may be associated with destination layer 2 (L2) addresses. In various embodiments, a source port indication and destination IP address indication may be added to a unicast C-V2X IP packet, such as a transmission control protocol (TCP) packet, a user datagram protocol (UDP) packet, etc., and the source port and destination IP address indications may be used by a modem to determine the destination L2 address for the unicast C-V2X IP packet.

Abstract: Aspects directed towards Quality of Service (QoS) flow remapping are disclosed. In an example, upon detecting a mapping reconfiguration of a first QoS flow from a first data radio bearer (DRB) to another DRB, a Service Data Adaptation Protocol (SDAP) control protocol data unit (PDU) is generated indicating that a final SDAP data PDU associated with the first QoS flow has been transmitted on the first DRB. The SDAP control PDU is then transmitted via the first DRB. In another example, upon detecting a mapping reconfiguration of a first QoS flow from a first DRB to another DRB, an end marker parameter is set in an SDAP header of a first SDAP data PDU received from an upper layer after the mapping reconfiguration indicating that the first SDAP data PDU is a final SDAP data PDU associated with the first QoS flow transmitted on the first DRB.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for user equipment (UE) camping in a virtual cell. A UE may camp in a virtual cell and may be in an idle mode or an inactive mode in the virtual cell. The UE may transition out of the idle or inactive mode and switch from camping in the virtual cell to connecting to a physical cell encompassed by the virtual cell through reselection, redirection, and handover procedures. The virtual cell may include a central unit and multiple distributed units, which may be configured in various physical implementations. Additionally, the virtual cell may be limited to broadcast only or selective unicast signaling.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a modem of a user equipment (UE) may receive one or more parameters that configure the modem to perform a periodic communication to maintain a first connection of the UE; and perform the periodic communication based at least in part on the one or more parameters, wherein the periodic communication is performed on a second connection different than the first connection. In some aspects, an application processor of a UE may establish a connection with a server for a plurality of applications, the server to be configured to communicate with respective application servers for the plurality of applications; configure a modem of the UE to perform a periodic communication to maintain the connection; and provide a push notification, received via the connection and associated with an application of the plurality of applications, to the application.

A user equipment (UE) may receive from a base station a measurement configuration signal comprising a measurement resource configuration associated with a cross-link interference signal strength measurement. The UE may perform the cross-link interference signal strength measurement for one or more UEs associated with one or more intra-frequency neighboring cells according to the measurement resource configuration, wherein the cross-link interference signal strength measurement is performed during an intra-frequency measurement gap. The UE may transmit a report of the cross-link interference signal strength measurement to the base station.
