摘要: Disclosed are various embodiments for employing spillover tables to improve performance of data store updates. A request to update a data field is received, and if an exclusive lock on a data table cannot be obtained, the request is placed in a spillover table until the exclusive lock can be obtained. If the request causes a constraint on the data field to be violated or causes the data field to move closer to the constraint, the request is not placed in the spillover table. A spillover task can collapse entries in the spillover table into the data store when an exclusive lock can be obtained.

摘要: The present technology relates to a method of treating cancer by sensitizing human tumours to DNA damaging therapies through activating FBXO32 expression. Transactivation of FBXO32 through the inhibition of EZH2, a histone methyltransferase, decreases p21 protein induction which results in the sensitization of human tumours to chemotherapy. The method further provides a prognostic method to determine if a combination treatment would be effective.

摘要: The invention provides a light weight composite gypsum board including a foamed low density set gypsum core, a top non-foamed (or reduced-foamed) bonding high density layer and a bottom non-foamed (or reduced-foamed) bonding high density layer, a top cover sheet bonded to the foamed low density set gypsum core by the top non-foamed (or reduced-foamed) bonding high density layer, and a bottom cover sheet bonded to the foamed low density set gypsum core by the bottom non-foamed (or reduced-foamed) bonding high density layer. The foamed low density set gypsum core is prepared having a density of less than about 30 pcf using soap foam in the gypsum-containing slurry. The combination of components provide a composite gypsum board having light weight and high strength.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of inducing apoptosis in a tumour cell as well as modulating pluripotency and/or self-renewing characteristics of a stem/progenitor cell. The method comprises administering to the respective cell a compound of general formula (I). In general formula A is C or N. R1, R4 and R5 are, independently selected, H or aliphatic, cycloaliphatic aromatic, arylaliphatic, or arylcycloaliphatic hydrocarbyl groups, that comprise 0-3 heteroatoms being N, O, S, or Si. R4 and R5 may optionally be linked so as to define an aliphatic hydrocarbyl bridge. R2 is H or a halogen, such as F or Cl. R3 is H, or an aliphatic or arylaliphatic hydrocarbyl group comprising 1-8 main chain carbon atoms and 0-3 heteroatoms being N, O, S, Si, or a halogen such as Cl or F. Also provided is a pharmaceutical composition for inducing apoptosis in a tumour cell and/or modulating pluripotency and/or self-renewing characteristics of a stem/progenitor cell. The pharmaceutical composition comprises a compound as defined above or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and a carrier or diluent.

摘要: Polymerization of siloxane is improved using a gypsum-based slurry that includes stucco, Class C fly ash, magnesium oxide and an emulsion of siloxane and water. This slurry is used in a method of making water-resistant gypsum articles that includes making an emulsion of siloxane and water, then combining the slurry with a dry mixture of stucco, magnesium oxide and Class C fly ash. The slurry is then shaped as desired and the stucco is allowed to set and the siloxane polymerizes. The resulting product is useful for making a water-resistant gypsum panel having a core that includes interwoven matrices of calcium sulfate dihydrate crystals and a silicone resin, where the interwoven matrices have dispersed throughout them a catalyst comprising magnesium oxide and components from a Class C fly ash.

摘要: The acoustical product of the present invention comprises an acoustical product including a matrix of calcium sulfate dihydrate crystals and expanded perlite distributed throughout the matrix. The expanded perlite has a particle size distribution with at least 10% of the perlite having a particle diameter of 700 microns or more, and the amount of expanded perlite to calcium sulfate dihydrate is about 35% to about 75% by weight, based upon the dry weight of the calcium sulfate dihydrate. A dispersing agent and glass fibers having a particle length of about ¼ inch to about 1 inch are dispersed throughout the gypsum matrix.

摘要: The invention generally provides gypsum-containing slurries including stucco, naphthalenesulfonate dispersant, and pregelatinized starch. The naphthalenesulfonate dispersant is present in an amount of about 0.1%-3.0% by weight based on the weight of dry stucco. The pregelatinized starch is present in an amount of at least about 0.5% by weight up to about 10% by weight of pregelatinized starch by weight based on the weight of dry stucco in the formulation. Other slurry additives can include trimetaphosphate salts, accelerators, binders, paper fiber, glass fiber, and other known ingredients. The invention also comprises the gypsum-containing products made with such slurries, for example, gypsum wallboard, and a method of making gypsum wallboard.
