    摘要: A process for upgrading olefins employing new synthetic catalyst of ultra-large pore crystalline material. The new crystalline material exhibits unusually large sorption capacity demonstrated by its benzene adsorption capacity of greater than about 15 grams benzene/100 grams at 50 torr and 25.degree. C., a hexagonal electron diffraction pattern that can be indexed with a d.sub.100 value greater than about 18 Angstrom Units and a hexagonal arrangement of uniformly sized pores with a maximum perpendicular cross section of at least about 13 Angstrom units.A new process is provided for catalytic oligomerization of olefin feedstock which comprises contacting the feedstock under catalytic conversion conditions with acid metallosilicate solid catalyst having the structure of MCM-41 with hexagonal honeycomb lattice structure consisting essentially of uniform pores in the range of about 20 to 100 Angstroms. The oligomerization reaction is very selective, especially when conducted at temperature of about 40.degree. to 250.degree. C. Low severity reaction permits excellent conversion of lower olefins at pressure of about 100-13,000 pKa range and moderate space velocity.

    摘要: Ethylbenzene is produced by the alkylation of benzene with ethylene in the presence of an alkylation catalyst which comprises an inorganic, non-layered, porous, crystalline phase aluminosilicate material whcih exhibits a benzene adsorption capacity of greater than about 15 grams benzene per 100 grams at 50 torr and 25.degree. C. In its preferred catalytic form, the crystalline material has a uniform, hexagonal arrangement of pores with diameters of at least about 13 .ANG. and exhibiting, after calcination, an X-ray diffraction pattern with at least one d-spacing greater than about 18 A and a hexagonal electron diffraction pattern that can be indexed with a d.sub.100 value greater than about 18 .ANG. which corresponds to at least one peak in the X-ray diffraction pattern. The process is typically carried out at a temperatue of 200.degree. to 1000.degree. F. but the catalyst provides sufficient activity for the reaction to be carried out at temperatures below 700.degree. F. Liquid phase operation is preferred, giving a lower yield of polyethylated products. The use of the selected catalyst also results in a reduction of the xylene impurity level.

    摘要: An improved process for upgrading paraffinic naphtha to high octane fuel by contacting a naphtha feedstock, such as virgin naphtha feedstock stream containing predominantly C.sub.7 -C.sub.12 alkanes and naphthenes, with solid medium pore acid zeolite cracking catalyst under low pressure selective cracking conditions effective to produce at least 10 wt % selectivity C.sub.4 -C.sub.5 isoalkene. Cracking effluent is separated to obtain a light olefinic fraction rich in C.sub.4 -C.sub.5 isoalkene and a C.sub.6 + liquid fraction of enhanced octane value containing less than 50 wt % aromatic hydrocarbons. In a multistage operation enhanced octane products are obtained by etherifying the isoalkene fraction and by contacting the C.sub.6 + normally liquid fraction with reforming catalyst under moderate reforming conditions at elevated temperature to obtain a reformate product of enhanced octane value.

    摘要: A process for production of alkyl tertiary alkyl ethers in C.sub.4 + hydrocarbon streams rich in isoolefins, typically containing catalyst deactivating amounts of dienes and/or compounds containing heteroatoms. The process is especially advantageous in extending the cycle length for the zeolite catalyzed etherification of isoolefins in C.sub.4 + FCC gasoline by reducing catalyst aging. It has been discovered that if hydrogen is cofed with the alkanol and C.sub.4 + isoolefin rich feedstreams to an etherification reaction catalyzed by acidic zeolite wherein the zeolite has been impregnated with a noble metal the rate of catalyst aging or deactivation is substantially lowered. The process is especially effective, i.e., catalyst aging is particularly reduced, when hydrogen is cofed to an etherification reaction using acidic zeolite Beta catalyst containing palladium.

    摘要: This application discloses critical parameters, including process conditions and catalysts which effect the alpha:beta ratio of alkylated naphthalene isomers. The use of low alkylation temperatures and of low acidity zeolite catalysts (e.g. steamed USY and zeolite beta) lead to an increase in the alpha:beta ratio. The alkylated naphthalene fluids with higher alpha:beta ratio exhibited significantly enhanced product qualities, including thermal and oxidative stabilities.

The oligomerization reaction is very selective, especially when conducted at temperature of about 40.degree. to 250.degree. C., yielding branched intermediate olefins. Low severity reaction permits execellent conversion of lower olefins at pressure of about 100-13,000 pKa range and moderate space velocity. Oligomers of propene produced over MCM-41, when reacted under cracking/disproportionation conditions yield a propylene-rich mixture which is separated as a C.sub.3 stream, and C.sub.6 + isoalkenes are recovered in good yield.
