Abstract: A semiconductor device that detects deterioration of a secondary battery is provided. The semiconductor device includes a power gauge, an anomalous current detection circuit, and a control circuit. The power gauge includes a current divider circuit and an integrator circuit. The anomalous current detection circuit includes a first memory, a second memory, and a first comparator. The integrator circuit can convert a detection current detected at the current divider circuit into a detection voltage by integrating the detection current. The anomalous current detection circuit is supplied with the detection voltage, a first signal at a first time, and a second signal at a second time. The first signal can make the detection voltage at the first time be stored in the first memory and the second signal can make the detection voltage at the second time be stored in the second memory. The first comparator outputs a change from the detection voltage at the first time to the detection voltage at the second time as a first output signal to the control circuit.

Abstract: To provide a power storage device whose charge and discharge characteristics are unlikely to be degraded by heat treatment. To provide a power storage device that is highly safe against heat treatment. The power storage device includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, an electrolytic solution, and an exterior body. The separator is located between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The separator contains polyphenylene sulfide or solvent-spun regenerated cellulosic fiber. The electrolytic solution contains a solute and two or more kinds of solvents. The solute contains LiBETA. One of the solvents is propylene carbonate.

Abstract: An anomaly detection system that outputs an anomaly detection signal before a safety valve of a secondary battery is opened is provided. The anomaly detection system includes a strain sensor, a memory, and a comparator. The memory has a function of retaining an analog potential, and the comparator has a function of comparing a potential output by the strain sensor and the analog potential retained by the memory. The strain sensor is attached to the secondary battery before use, and a predetermined potential is retained in the memory. When a housing of the secondary battery expands while the secondary battery is used, and the potential output by the strain sensor becomes higher (or lower) than the predetermined potential, an anomaly detection signal is output.

The graphite includes a plurality of graphene layers. Surfaces of the plurality of graphene layers are provided substantially along the direction of an electric field generated between the positive electrode and the negative electrode.

Abstract: A semiconductor device capable of monitoring the state of a battery or the like is provided. The states of a plurality of batteries in a battery module is easily acquired. The semiconductor device that can be attached to an electrode of a battery or the like includes a first substrate, an element layer, and first to third conductive layers. The element layer includes a first circuit and a second circuit and is provided on a side of a first surface of the first substrate. The first conductive layer and the second conductive layer are provided on a side of a second surface positioned opposite to the first surface of the first substrate. The first circuit is electrically connected to each of the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer through an opening provided in the first substrate. The third conductive layer is provided to be stacked on a side opposite to the first substrate side of the element layer and electrically connected to the second circuit. The first conductive layer and the second conductive layer each function as a terminal, and the third conductive layer functions as an antenna.

Abstract: An object of one embodiment of the present invention is to provide a secondary battery in which deterioration of charge-discharge cycle characteristics is suppressed, to suppress generation of defects caused by expansion and contraction of an active material in a negative electrode, or to prevent deterioration caused by deformation of a secondary battery. To prevent deterioration, a material that can be alloyed with lithium and fluidified easily is used for a negative electrode. To hold a negative electrode active material over a surface of a current collector, a covering layer that covers the negative electrode active material is provided. Furthermore, a portion where the current collector and the negative electrode active material are in contact with each other is alloyed. In other words, an alloy that is in contact with both the current collector and the negative electrode active material is provided in the negative electrode.

The anomaly detection system is provided; the system compares a value obtained by estimating internal resistance or SOC of a secondary battery based on the measured value of a current or a voltage of the secondary battery with the use of a nonlinear Kalman filter and a value input to an anomaly detection system (network) of AI to predict a change in the internal resistance; the system regards a case where the difference is large as an anomaly; and the system detects an anomaly.
