摘要: The resolution of a display apparatus having alight detection function is increased. The display apparatus includes a light-emitting device and a light-emitting and light-receiving device. The light-emitting device includes a first pixel electrode, a first light-emitting layer, and a common electrode; the light-emitting and light-receiving device includes a second pixel electrode, a second light-emitting layer, an active layer, and the common electrode; the active layer includes an organic compound; the first light-emitting layer is positioned between the first pixel electrode and the common electrode; the second light-emitting layer and the active layer are each positioned between the second pixel electrode and the common electrode; the light-emitting device has a function of emitting light of a first color; and the light-emitting and light-receiving device has a function of emitting light of a second color and a function of receiving light of the first color. The light-emitting and light-receiving device functions as both a light-emitting device and a light-receiving device, whereby a pixel can have a light-receiving function without an increase in the number of subpixels included in the pixel. Furthermore, the pixel can be provided with a light-receiving function without a reduction in the resolution of the display apparatus or a reduction in the aperture ratio of each subpixel.

摘要: To provide an imaging device having a function of biometric authentication and a function of a touch sensor or a near touch sensor. The imaging device includes pixels, current mirror circuits, and CDS circuits. The pixels, the current mirror circuits, and the CDS circuits are electrically connected to read lines. The current mirror circuit includes a first and a second transistor. One of a source and a drain of the first transistor is electrically connected to the read line, and a power supply potential is supplied to the other of a source and a drain of the second transistor. The imaging device outputs imaging data written to the pixel, as a first signal, to the read line in a first period, and then, resets the imaging data and outputs a second signal from the pixel to the read line in a second period. In the first period, a first potential is supplied to terminals, and in the second period, a second potential is supplied to terminals. A difference between the second potential and the power supply potential is greater than a difference between the first potential and the power supply potential.

The light emitted by the light-emitting device is emitted to the outside of the display apparatus through the first lens. Light enters the light-emitting and light-receiving device from the outside of the display apparatus through the second lens.

The first transistor includes a first semiconductor layer, a first gate electrode, a first electrode, and a second electrode. The first gate electrode and the second gate electrode are connected to each other, and the second electrode and the third electrode are connected to each other. A first insulating layer, a second insulating layer, and a second semiconductor layer are stacked over the first semiconductor layer. The first insulating layer is less likely to diffuse hydrogen than the second insulating layer. The second insulating layer contains oxide, the first semiconductor layer contains polycrystalline silicon, and the second semiconductor layer contains a metal oxide. The first transistor is a p-channel transistor and the second transistor is an n-channel transistor.

摘要: A display apparatus capable of performing authentication in a short time is provided. The display apparatus includes a first display portion where first pixels are arranged in a matrix, a second display portion where second pixels are arranged in a matrix, first and second row driver circuits, and a control circuit. Each of the first and the second pixels includes a light-receiving element. The first and the second pixels each have a function of acquiring imaging data by using the light-receiving element. The first and the second row driver circuits each have a function of selecting the first and the second pixels which read out the imaging data. The control circuit has a function of sequentially driving the first and the second row driver circuits in a first mode, and has a function of driving one of the first and the second row driver circuits on the basis of the imaging data in the second mode. Each of the scan rates of the first and the second row driver circuits in the first mode is higher than the scan rate of the first or the second row driver circuit in the second mode.

摘要: To provide a display device capable of performing image processing. Each pixel is provided with a memory circuit in which desired correction data is retained. The correction data is generated by calculation in an external device and written to each pixel. The correction data is added to image data by capacitive coupling and supplied to a display element. Thus, the display element can display a corrected image. Through the correction, image upconversion can be performed, or image quality decreased because of variations in pixel transistor characteristics can be corrected.

The first pixel circuit is supplied with the first selection signal, the first pixel circuit obtains an image signal on the basis of the first selection signal, the light-emitting element is electrically connected to the first pixel circuit, and the light-emitting element emits light on the basis of the image signal. The second pixel circuit is supplied with the second selection signal and the third selection signal in a period during which the first selection signal is not supplied, the second pixel circuit obtains an imaging signal on the basis of the second selection signal and supplies the imaging signal on the basis of the third selection signal, and the photoelectric conversion element is electrically connected to the second pixel circuit and generates the imaging signal.

A first conductive layer, a second conductive layer, and an insulating layer are provided above the common electrode. The insulating layer is provided above the first conductive layer, and the second conductive layer is provided above the insulating layer. The light-receiving element has a function of receiving light emitted from the light-emitting element.

摘要: A display device that can easily achieve higher definition is provided. The display device includes a pixel, a first wiring, and a second wiring. The pixel includes first to fourth transistors, a first capacitor, and a light-emitting element. One of a source and a drain of the first transistor is connected to the first wiring, and the other of the source and the drain of the first transistor is connected to a gate of the second transistor and to the first capacitor. The light-emitting element is connected to one of a source and a drain of the second transistor. The first wiring is supplied with a first data potential. The second wiring is supplied with a second data potential and a reset potential in different periods. The third transistor supplies the second data potential to the first capacitor. The fourth transistor supplies the reset potential to the light-emitting element.
