    摘要: An electron feeder for a flat-type luminous device capable of providing electrons sufficient to ensure the uniform luminance of a whole display section irrespective of a distance from an electron source. A plurality of front electrodes and a plurality of rear electrodes constituting an electron beam guide are arranged separate from one another in the direction of traveling of the electrons, respectively, and the front electrode and rear electrode corresponding to each other constitute each guide electrode section. The so-constructed guide electrode sections are alternately applied thereto two different voltages, resulting in the electron beam guide exhibiting the function of focusing electrons.

    摘要: There is provided composite nano-particles comprising nano-crystal particles dispersed stably and individually in suspension in high concentration without mutual aggregation of the nano-particles. A determined amount of pure water or deionized water is poured into a reactor, into which is introduced nitrogen gas at rate of 300 cm3/min for a given time while agitating with a stirrer to remove dissolved oxygen in the pure water, allowing to stand in an atmosphere of nitrogen. Next, the inside of the reactor is maintained in an atmosphere of nitrogen and sodium citrate as a dispersion-stabilizing agent, an aqueous solution of MPS as a surface-modifying agent, an anion aqueous solution for co-precipitation as a nano-crystal and a cation aqueous solution are added, in that order. Then, an aqueous solution of sodium silicate is added to the reactor, which is then allowed to stand in the dark place in an atmosphere of nitrogen after agitation. At that time, a vitrification-inhibiting agent may be added in order to inhibit the growth of glass layer.

An insulating substrate made of glass or the like is formed thereon with an InSnO, SnSbO, ZnAlO or Al thin film. Then, a phosphate low-softening glass paste layer is formed on the thin film. A portion of the thin film contiguous to an insulating layer made of the low-softening glass paste melts into a glass region to form an insulating layer region, so that a conductive thin film region may be patterned as electrodes.

    摘要: A field emission cathode capable of emitting electrons under a low voltage. Lead-out electrodes are formed on an insulating layer and openings are formed at a lamination between the insulating layer and each of the lead-out electrodes. Emitters each are arranged in each of the openings. The insulating layer is provided on a lower surface thereof with a photoresist layer modified by heating. The modified photoresist layer is electrically connected through a resistive layer to a cathode electrode. The cathode electrode is formed in a pattern on a cathode substrate made of glass or the like. The emitters each are constituted by a distal end of each of projections of the modified photoresist layer exposed from the insulating layer. The photoresist is modified by heating, resulting in being provided with electrical conductivity and exhibiting stable electron emitting characteristics under a low voltage.

    摘要: A flourescent luminous type display device capable of providing display at increased luminance while being simplified in structure. An insulating substrate constituting a vacuum airtight envelope is laminatedly formed on an inner surface thereof with cathode electrodes and emitters in order. Another insulating substrate is laminatedly formed on an inner surface thereof with an anode electrode and phosphor layers. The phosphor layers contain a secondary electron emission material. When a switch is closed, electron emitted from the emitters are permitted to be impinged on the phosphor layers, leading to luminescence thereof. The anode electrode merely has a pulse-like drive signal applied thereto through a capacitor, however, secondary electrons emitted from the phosphor layers permit the luminescence to be maintained even after stop of the drive signal.

    摘要: A field emission type fluorescent display device capable of exhibiting high luminescence under a low voltage while minimizing leakage luminescence and color mixing, to thereby improve display quality. An anode and a field emission cathode are arranged opposite to each other and the cathode is divided into a plurality of unit regions in a matrix-like configuration, which are matrix-driven, resulting in a display being selectively carried out. The unit regions each are divided into a plurality of subregions and the cathode and anode are divided into a plurality of strip-like electrodes perpendicular to each other, respectively. The strip-like electrode each correspond to each of subregions and are commonly connected to each other at every second interval. Also, a focusing electrode may be arranged between the gate and the anode so as to surround the unit regions.

    摘要: A field emission element that can prevent one cathode electrode line from being completely disabled due to a short circuit between an emitter electrode and a gate electrode. One cathode electrode line consists of a stripe cathode conductor and plural island electrodes arranged on the one side of the cathode conductor. The gate electrode is disposed on the insulating layer overlaying the upper surface of each island electrode. The first resistance layer and the second resistance layer each having a different resistance value are laminated in a current control resistance layer. When excessive current flows through the emitter cone, the laminated thick-film portion is destroyed so that only the island electrode connected to the emitter cone is electrically separated off from the cathode conductor. One second resistance layer is locally laminated on the first resistance layer and for each of plural island electrodes.
