摘要： Disclosed is a method for causing either encrypted first content data or unencrypted second content data, to be selectively recorded to a storage medium in a data recording apparatus. When the data recording apparatus is to return the encrypted first content data to the data transfer apparatus, the return is inhibited if the data are judged to have been edited. Upon return of the encrypted first content data, a content ID held by the data recording apparatus regarding the first content data is matched against a content ID held by the data transfer apparatus regarding the received data. Where the encrypted first content data are known to have been edited, the content ID matching process is omitted.

摘要： A method for preparing high-purity aluminum nitride having high thermal conductivity and heat resistance for aluminum nitride substrates, which comprises the steps of reacting an organic aluminum compound with an aminotriazine in a solvent to obtain an aluminum nitride precursor, separating the precursor from the solvent, and heating the precursor at a temperature of 600.degree. C. or more in a reducing atmosphere and/or a non-oxidizing atmosphere. An aluminum nitride sinter is prepared by, if necessary, adding a sintering auxiliary to the above aluminum nitride powder, molding the powder into a desired shape, and then sintering the molded material at a temperature of 1,600.degree. to 2,000.degree. C. in a non-oxidizing atmosphere.

Also disclosed is an apparatus for executing this method.

摘要： A media converter monitors whether a metal cable link is disconnected. If the metal cable link is disconnected, a desired invalid code other than pre-defined codes is successively transmitted toward a fiber optic cable to disconnect its link. If the metal cable link is not disconnected, a first auto negotiation is performed with the metal cable side to set a first line ability, and a second auto negotiation is performed with the fiber optic cable side based on the first line ability to set a second line ability. Subsequently, a third auto negotiation is performed again with the metal cable side based on the second line ability to finally determine the line ability between the metal and the fiber optic cables.

摘要： An ear covering is produced by sewing first and second cloth layers together along a first closed loop seam, and forming a hole inside the loop and extending through both layers; turning the sewn first and second layers inside out by passing one layer through the opening; then passing one of the layers through a passage in a flexible insert in the form of a distorted, truncated cone; placing a third cloth layer over one of the first and second layers and sewing the first second and third cloth layers along a second closed-loop seam, thereby enclosing the insert within a toroidal enclosure formed by portions of the first and second layers. Afterwards, the assembly is turned inside out to form a cup-shaped receptacle for receiving an external ear, with the second seam in the interior of the receptacle, and with the first seam within the toroidal enclosure.
