摘要： The capacitor (10) in accordance with the present invention comprises a lower electrode (14A), a dielectric layer (16) including an SiO2 layer (20) formed on the lower electrode (14A) and an Si3N4 layer (22) formed on the SiO2 layer (20), and an upper electrode (14B) formed on the dielectric layer (16). When the SiO2 layer (20) is thus interposed between the lower electrode (14A) and Si3N4 layer (22), the lower electrode (14A) and Si3N4 layer (22) adhere to each other more firmly than in the case where the Si3N4 layer (22) is directly formed on the lower electrode (14A) as in a conventional capacitor. Namely, since the dielectric layer (16) includes the Si3N4 layer having a higher dielectric constant, the capacitor (10) in accordance with the present invention yields a large capacitance, while the adhesion between the dielectric layer (16) and lower electrode (14A) is improved over the conventional capacitor.

摘要： A substrate for a liquid jet recording head is provided at least with a supporting member, an exothermic resistive element arranged on the supporting member for generating thermal energy to be utilized for discharging recording liquid, and pairs of wiring electrodes connected to the exothermic resistive element at given intervals. Such a substrate comprises a layer formed with a film produced by the application of a bias ECR plasma CVD method. With the layer thus formed, a desirable configuration of the wiring stepping portions as well as a desirable film quality can be obtained so as to make the surface of the substrate smooth thereby to implement a liquid jet recording head having an excellent durability at a low manufacturing cost when such a substrate is used for the fabrication of the liquid jet recording head.

摘要： A method and apparatus for making a cylindrical package in which a cylindrically shaped coil of a long steel strip having a peripheral surface, two end surfaces and a hollow cylindrical center is completely wrapped with a wrapping sheet material so as to have neatly folded closures on both end surfaces with a ring member inserted into the cylindrical hollow center of the coil. At first the wrapping sheet is wrapped around the coil so as to project from either end of the coil by a length l greater than the thickness t between the outermost layer and the innermost layer of the coil. The projecting portions are folded onto the end surfaces by pusher plates with pleat forming rods provided therebetween to form crease lines. The pleated portions of the sheet are flattened onto the folded sheet by the sliding action of pusher plates, and then a ring member is fitted into the cylindrical hollow center of the coil at either end with the edges of the folded sheet pressed underneath so that the wrapping is completed without use of an adhesive.
