Abstract:
A magnetic recording medium comprising a substrate having an uppermost magnetic layer containing ferromagnetic metal powder and a lower magnetic layer which is adjacent to the uppermost magnetic layer, wherein the uppermost magnetic layer has an average dry thickness of 0.03 to 0.5 .mu.m, the ferromagnetic metal powder in the uppermost magnetic layer is orientated in the horizontal direction of the magnetic recording medium, the magnetic recording medium has a coercive force of 120 kA/m or higher in the horizontal direction thereof, and a ratio of a maximum magnetic susceptibility .chi..sub.max with an external magnetic field applied in the direction perpendicular to the magnetic recording medium to a magnetic susceptibility .chi..sub.8 with an external magnetic field of 8 kA/m applied in the same direction, .chi..sub.max /.chi..sub.8, is 1.3 or higher.
Abstract:
A protective cover is mounted on a connector in which a plurality of terminals are received within a housing. The housing has a hood section having an opening, and electrical contact portions of the terminals are arranged in a predetermined arrangement within the hood section. The protective cover includes a cover body fitted in the opening in the hood section. The protective cover has an arrangement confirming portion for confirming whether or not the electrical contact portions are properly arranged. The arrangement confirming portion is formed so as to correspond to the arrangement of the electrical contact portions.
Abstract:
To provide a multi-pole connector in which projected male connectors are protected from interference from the outside, and a smooth fitting of the connectors can be achieved. In the multi-pole connector, male connectors are mounted on one frame in such a manner that the male connectors are projected from the frame, and female connectors for the male connectors are mounted on the other frame. Connector-protecting ribs are formed at a peripheral portion of the one frame, and are projected to a height equal to or higher than a height of distal ends of the male connectors, and rib reception guides for the ribs are formed on the other frame.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a hardening material for medical and dental use, in which at least either one or both of .alpha.-tricalcium phosphate and tetracalcium phosphate as an essential component and, as a hardening adjuster, the following 1 tannin, 2 tannin and collagen, 3 collagen and an organic acid, 4 tannin, collagen, and an organic acid, 5 tannin and an organic acid, or 6 at least two kinds or organic acids.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for measuring the properties of underground water are disclosed. The device comprises a measuring apparatus with a measuring sensor for measuring the properties of the underground water, a pair of expandable and contractible packers arranged above and below the measuring apparatus, a transmitting means for sending measurement signals from the measuring apparatus, and a receiving means located at the ground surface for receiving the measurement signals from the transmitting apparatus. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of placing a measurement apparatus with a measuring sensor in a bored hole at a desired depth, arranging a pair of packers so that the measuring sensor is interposed therebetween, pumping water to the ground surface from the space between the two packers, and comparing the properties of the water pumped to the surface with the properties of the water measured with the above-mentioned measuring sensor.
Abstract:
The method for controlling the withdrawal of the electrode in an NC electric-discharge machine permits a linear withdrawal of the electrode to a forward position at least two blocks preceding the present forward position from the workpiece according to a withdrawal command received by the NC unit and with a high efficiency while a workpiece is being machined with electric discharges made between the electrode and the workpiece with the former being forwarded in relation to the latter according to a control information including positioning commands given to the NC unit for each block.
Abstract:
A game machine with an automatic judging function according to the present invention is used to play a game in which a winner is determined according to predetermined rules of the game by moving pieces having their own characters across a game board, e.g., a checkerboard. The game machine includes classified pieces whose characters cannot be known by an opponent, a checkerboard with sensors for detecting the rank characters of the pieces disposed thereon, and a judging unit for automatically determining the winning piece on the basis of the rank characters of the pieces when they encounter on the game board. Accordingly, a game player can enjoy a game by inferring the rank characters and future moves of opponent's pieces.
Abstract:
A noise-eliminating apparatus for a video tape recorder wherein the high frequency signals of the first and second channels, reproduced by a helical scan type video tape recorder, an alternately selected by the corresponding first and second switches. The selected high frequency signal is supplied to the main demodulator and auxiliary demodulator. The changeover operations of the first and second switches are carried out at a prescribed internal by the first and second control signals. An output signal from the main demodulator in shut off by a third switch during the period in which the high frequency signals of the first and second channels partly overlap each other. The shut off period is supplemented by an output demodulated signal from the auxiliary demodulator.
Abstract:
A three-tape type zipper is disclosed which comprises first to third tapes, a first slider for fastening the first and second tapes and a second slider for fastening the first and third tapes. One end of the first tape and one end of the second tape are connected to each other and one end of the third tape and the other end of the first tape are connected to each other so that the first tape serves as a common counterpart to the second and third tapes. The other ends of the second and third tapes are kept free. The first and second tapes are fastened together by moving the first slider toward the second slider, whereas the first and third tapes are fastened together by moving the second slider toward the first slider.A bag-shaped article with the three-tape type zipper secured thereto is also disclosed which comprises a body with an opening formed thereon through which things are inserted. The first tape is attached to one of the hems defining the opening, the second tape is to the other hem and the third tape is to the body at the position located distant from the other hem. The first holding capacity is established by fastening the first and second tapes and the second holding capacity smaller than the former is established by fastening the first and third tapes. As has been described hitherto, this invention will greatly contribute to compactization, material- and cost-saving of commodities.
Abstract:
A mixed mother alloy is prepared from a solder mixture comprising a pyrolyzable flux and high melting point metal particles, the mixed mother alloy is charged into a large amount of molten solder and stirred, and a billet is prepared. The billet can then be extruded, rolled, and punched to form a pellet or a washer, for example.
