摘要: A guide for assisting in marking a measurement and/or scoring a sheet of drywall, paneling or other planar building material has a bore for receiving a pencil or other marker and has a slot for receiving a scoring blade therethrough. The guide may have a support for maintaining the pencil, marker or a knife having a scoring blade, in a steady relationship with the surface to be scored or marked. The guide may have a curvature or curvatures for cooperating with the pencil, marker or knife. The guide may also have an attaching structure, such as a flange or slot, to attach the guide to a measuring device, including a retractable carpenter's tape, combination square or other rule.

摘要: The present invention is directed toward a method of that provides a user with the ability to choose the combination of dye species that best fits his or her application. Users can create prints that are colorful, lightfast, or some combination of these two. In one embodiment, the invention takes into account the characteristics of the printing medium and determines from that information how to optimize the lightfastness and gamut of an image. Lightfastness and gamut tend to relate inversely, in that the better the lightfastness, the worse the gamut and vice versa. The lightfastness and gamut of an image can be altered by changing the colorants used to print the image. High-chroma inks produce images with high gamut values. Conversely, images printed with low-chroma inks have increased lightfastness. An embodiment of this invention uses the characteristics of the print medium, upon which the image will be printed, to optimize the tradeoffs that exist between lightfastness and gamut. In this embodiment the relative amount of high- and low-chroma ink varies depending upon the characteristics of the print medium.

摘要: A stretchable string (100) having a first cross sectional diameter at rest and a second smaller cross sectional diameter when stretched. An aglet (200) positioned on the string. The aglet has an inner cross sectional diameter that is smaller than the cross sectional diameter of the string at rest and approximate to the cross sectional diameter of the string when it is sufficiently elongated. The aglet is moved along the string when the string is sufficiently elongated. The aglet can be repositioned along the string by stretching the string such that the diameter of the string is approximate to the inner diameter of the aglet. Excess string can then be removed.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for monitoring current in an electric motor. An electrical system includes a (DC) interface, an electric motor, an inverter module coupled between the DC interface and the electric motor, a first current sensor between a first phase leg of the inverter module and a first phase of the electric motor to measure a first current flowing through the first phase of the electric motor, a second current sensor between the first phase leg and the DC interface to measure a second current flowing through the first phase leg, and a control module coupled to the first current sensor and the second current sensor. The control module is configured to initiate remedial action based at least in part on a difference between the first current measured by the first current sensor and the second current measured by the second current sensor.

摘要: Methods and Apparatus to increase the efficiency of roll-forming and leveling systems are described herein. An example strip material processing apparatus are described herein includes a first drive system to drive a first plurality of workrolls and a second drive system to drive a second plurality of workrolls. A controller provides a first command reference to the first drive system. The controller measures a first output parameter of the first drive system when the first drive system operates at the first command reference. The controller determines a second command reference based on the first output parameter and the controller drives the second drive system based on the second command reference.

摘要: An armature for use in an electric traction motor comprises a rotor having a central portion and a peripheral portion with the peripheral portion having a plurality of cavities. Permanent magnets solidified from liquid magnetic material are disposed in the cavities to form poles of the rotor with at least a portion of the cavities having directly abutting permanent magnets comprised of at least first and second magnetic materials of different properties injected in liquid or mobile form into single cavities. In interface regions between the at least first and second magnetic materials the first and second magnetic materials are intermingled to form a transition zone. A method of making the armature includes injecting the magnetic materials simultaneously as well as injecting a subsequent magnetic material when the initial magnetic material is still fluidly mobile.
