摘要: The present disclosure provides for selectively enabling a primary communication channel upon receipt of enablement instructions received via a secondary communication channel. In some embodiments, a first intelligent electronic device (IED) may be connected to a second IED via a primary communication channel. In various embodiments, the primary communication channel may be selectively and/or temporarily enabled by transmitting an enablement instruction via a secondary communication channel. The secondary communication channel may be relatively more secure than the primary communication channel. In some embodiments, the secondary communication channel may also connect the first and second IEDs. Accordingly, the first IED may transmit an enablement instruction to the second IED in order to temporarily enable communication via the primary communication channel between the first and second IEDs.

摘要: An interactive sports training device has a plurality of light sources, multiple sensor means and a processor to facilitate the manoeuvring, passing and shooting of an object. Each sensor means is associated with one of the plurality of light sources, the sensor means being adapted to be triggered when an object is brought into close proximity with an activated light source. A processor means is coupled to the light sources and sensor means and is provided with at least one training program, and the processor means controls activation of the light sources according to at least one training program. When an object is placed in close proximity to an activated light source, the sensor communicates with the processor to deactivate the activated light source and to activate another light source in accordance with a training program. In use, it provides a system for simulating the unpredictable and competitive nature of multi-player sports by allowing a user to practice on his own in a ‘real life’ environment.

摘要: A hybrid optical/electronic wavefront sensor includes an electro-acoustical device used to upshift an optical reference signal. An optical test signal and the frequency upshifted optical reference signal are optically heterodyned to create a signal having a frequency equivalent to the beat frequency of the two signals, for example, the RF driving frequency of the Bragg cell. The optically heterodyned signal is then converted by way of a detector to an electronic signal having the same phase as the optical test signal. The output of the detector is a sinusoidal signal having the same phase as the phase of the optical test signal. This signal is filtered by way of an AC filter and mixed with a second clock signal, for example, a clock signal that is offset in frequency from the electro-acoustical drive signal by a frequency, for example, between 100 kHz and 1 MHz. These two signals are mixed by way of a mixer. The low frequency product of the mixer is passed by way of a filter and converted to a square wave by way of a comparator. The output of the comparator is applied to a simple pulse counter and used to disable the pulse counter. The pulse counter counts the clock pulses while it is enabled and is linearly related to the difference in phase between the optical test signal and the frequency upshifted signal.

摘要: An apparatus, that places an object ball in the palm of both hands of the athlete, for training the athlete to catch a thrown sports ball with fingertips and thumb tips rather than palms. The size of the object ball can be increased as the athlete's skill level improves. This apparatus teaches the athlete to control the sports ball with the fingertips and thumb tips. Because this apparatus is small and lightweight it can be used for training as well as performance enhancement.

摘要: A method and system for automatically loading foam pellets which clean fluid carrying passages, such as hydraulic tubing, into a pneumatic launcher. The pellets are automatically transferred from a storage sleeve into the pneumatic launcher for subsequent propulsion through the tubing. Interior walls of the passages are scrubbed clean as the pellets pass therethrough. In addition, the method and system can easily convert a conventional foam cleaning pellet pneumatic launcher from a manual loading operation to a fully automatic loading operation, thereby increasing overall productivity of the cleaning operation.

摘要: The cycle time for a rotomolding process is improved through the use of a molding material comprising a blend of at least two polyethylenes having narrow molecular weight distributions and homogeneous comonomer distributions. Alternatively, the molding temperature may be reduced to conserve energy and reduce energy costs. The polyethylene blend also has a narrow molecular weight distribution of less than 3 and a density of from 0.930 to 0.950 g/cc. Rotomolded parts prepared from the blend composition have excellent impact resistance and are also resistant to warpage. A preferred process employs a blend composition which contains a blend component having a higher molecular weight and a lower density than another blend component—this blend may be used to prepare rotomolded parts with warpage resistance and improved environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR). A highly preferred process uses a blend composition which further contains aminor amount (from 0.5 to 10 weight %) of a third ethylene blend component which has a higher molecular weight and density—this highly preferred composition may be used to prepare rotomolded parts having warpage resistance, very good ESCR and comparatively high modulus (or stiffness).

摘要: A device has processing hardware to carry out a blood processing procedure. A processing control manager resides on the device to monitor status conditions over time during the blood processing procedure. A data interface also resides on the device. The data interface includes a flash memory data storage medium formatted to allocate discrete block file spaces to receive data. Chronologic data or time-specific data are created based upon sensed conditions by a data generator task, which also resides on the device. A file manager task appends chronologic data to an allocated file space to create a chronologic block file, which, when read, provides a time-ordered account of processing activities or hardware conditions. The file manager also operates to block-write time-specific data to another allocated file space, which, when read, creates a snap-shot of processing conditions at a given point in time. The data file structure created on the flash memory medium withstands corruption of data due to power failure.
