    摘要： This invention relates to heat-resistant polyimide blends and laminates thereof, which have excellent heat and moisture resistance, and excellent mechanical properties, including outstanding toughness. The blends contain a thermoplastic polyimide component and a thermosetting imide oligomer. The weight ratio of the thermoplastic component to thermosetting component is selected in the range of 99/1 to 5/95. The thermoplastic polyimide component has a number average molecular weight of 10,000 or more.

The process includes, for example, contacting at least one side of the paper or paperboard with water or an aqueous composition to wet the paper or paperboard, contacting the wet paper or paperboard with a wet strength resin composition followed by drying the paper or paperboard. The resulted treated or coated paper or paperboard has comparable wet strength properties to that of paper or paperboard containing wet strength resin from a conventional wet end application.

    摘要： A treated paper product is provided according to the invention. The treated paper product comprises a result of applying a water based emulsion to a paper base sheet to provide an impregnated paper product, and drying the impregnated paper product to a water content of less than about 8 wt. % to provide the treated paper product. The water based emulsion includes a barrier and/or release forming component comprising at least one of stearylated melamine, polyethylene wax, paraffin wax, isoparaffin wax, microcrystalline wax, fluoropolymer wax, silicone wax, alkyl ketene materials, octyl succinic anhydride, Werner chrome complex, natural wax, and mixtures thereof. The water based emulsion can have a solids content of between about 2 wt. % and about 50 wt. % when it is applied to the paper base sheet. Methods for manufacturing and using the treated paper product, and a combination food and treated paper product are provided.
