    摘要: An apparatus may comprise a radio-frequency (RF) transceiver and a message aggregation module arranged to intercept multiple messages from one or more mobile data applications during an idle mode of a device, one or more of the multiple messages operable to trigger a transition of the device from the idle mode to a connected mode by causing a radio resource control message to be sent from the device to a radio access network, the message aggregation module to store the multiple messages in a buffer associated with the one or more mobile data applications in order to maintain the device in the idle mode, and schedule for transmission by the RF transceiver the stored messages at a defined time instance based on a delay tolerance for the one or more mobile data applications when the device is in the connected mode. A method includes receiving, by a base station of a wireless communication network, a message from a mobile station that includes an indication that the mobile station is in coverage loss recovery, and a mobile station identifier to identify the mobile station. The method further includes determining whether a static context and/or a dynamic context associated with the mobile station identifier is stored at a previous-serving base station of the mobile station and transmitting a message to the mobile station to indicate which re-entry actions are to be performed to facilitate re-entry of the mobile station to the wireless communication network.     摘要: A preemption system enables successful transmission of multiple service data units (SDUs) across a wireless interface. The preemption system addresses out-of-order transmissions of fragments of SDUs, such that the receiver is able to process each successfully. The preemption system enables a higher-priority SDU to simultaneously be transmitted with a lower-priority SDU, so that delays in processing the lower-priority SDU does not negatively affect processing of the higher-priority SDU. The preemption system also addresses non-automatic repeat request medium access controller (non-ARQ MAC) connections that only use hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ), in which the HARQ transmission may cause out-of-order delivery of SDU fragments.

    摘要: A wireless communication system and method schedules a beginning of an uplink transmission from a wireless device to a network transceiver with a first predetermined period of time after an end of a downlink transmission from the network transceiver device to the wireless device is scheduled. The uplink transmission and the downlink transmission comprise the same carrier frequency. The first predetermined period of time is related to a time required for the wireless device to switch from between receive and transmit modes. A beginning a downlink transmission from the network transceiver to the wireless device is scheduled with a second predetermined period of time after an end of an uplink transmission from the wireless device to the network transceiver is scheduled. The second predetermined period of time is related to a time required for the wireless device to switch between transmit and receive modes.
