Abstract:
A MEMS mirror for a laser printing application includes providing a CMOS substrate including a pair of electrodes, and providing a reflecting mirror moveable over the substrate and the electrodes. Voltages applied to the electrodes create an electrostatic force causing an end of the mirror to be attracted to the substrate. A precise position of the mirror can be detected and controlled by sensing a change in capacitance between the mirror ends and the underlying electrodes.
Abstract:
A method of forming a package for a MEMS structure coupled to a substrate includes depositing an encapsulant material on the substrate and patterning the encapsulant material to form a plurality of encapsulated structures. The method also includes depositing a first capping layer on the substrate and forming one or more release hole patterns in the first capping layer. The method further includes removing the encapsulant material and depositing a second capping layer.
Abstract:
A resonator includes a CMOS substrate having a first electrode and a second electrode. The CMOS substrate is configured to provide one or more control signals to the first electrode. The resonator also includes a resonator structure including a silicon material layer. The resonator structure is coupled to the CMOS substrate and configured to resonate in response to the one or more control signals.
Abstract:
A plasma confinement apparatus, and method for confining a plasma are described and which includes, in one form of the invention, a plurality of electrically insulated components which are disposed in predetermined spaced relation, one relative to the others, and surrounding a processing region of a plasma processing apparatus, and wherein a plurality of passageways are defined between the respective insulated components; and at least one electrically conductive and grounded component forms an electrical field shielding for the processing region.
Abstract:
A system and method for the concealment of errors resulting from missing or corrupted data in the transmission of audio signals in compressed digital packet formats is disclosed. The system utilizes a circular FIFO buffer to store audio frames from the transmitted audio signal, and a beat detector, to identify the presence of beats in the audio signal. The error concealment method replaces erroneous audio frames with error-free audio frames by a process which takes into account the presence and location of the detected beats.
Abstract:
An error concealment method and device for recovering lost data in the AAC bitstream in the compressed domain. The bitstream are partitioned into frames each having a plurality of data parts including the header/global gain, scale factors and QMDCT coefficients. The data parts are stored in a plurality of buffers, so that if one or more data parts of a current frame is corrupted or lost, the corresponding data part in the neighboring frames is used to conceal the errors in the current frame.
Abstract:
A method, a system, and a computer program product embodying computer readable code for configuring a rule file for a Web application firewall. The method includes: blocking a response created by a Web application; modifying the response by adding capturing code for capturing a regular expression and an associated parameter value embedded in the response while being executed; sending the modified response to the browser; receiving a request submitted by the browser and at least one regular expression and an associated parameter value captured by the capturing code; determining a parameter name and a regular expression associated with the same parameter value, and configuring the rule file of the firewall by use of the determined parameter name and regular expression associated with one another as a filtering rule.

Abstract:
Techniques and technologies for routing communications based on Quality of Service (QOS) related information. More particularly, this document discloses techniques and technologies for selecting communications paths which partially overlap other communication paths for which QOS related information has been measured. The techniques and technologies include determining, performance levels for path segments within the communication paths from the measured QOS information.
