摘要: In general, the subject matter described in this specification can be embodied in methods, systems, and program products for adaptive data unit transmission. A sliding window is filled with data units and designates a sliding window start position and a sliding window end position. A value for each of the data units in the sliding window is stored, the value representing a maximum number of times that each data unit is to be transmitted. The stored value is different among at least two of the data units. Data units are selected from the sliding window to be assembled into a packet. An assembled packet is transmitted to a receiving computerized device. A determination that the data unit positioned at the sliding window start position has been transmitted a maximum number of time is performed, and in response a different data unit is positioned at the sliding window start position.

摘要: For high resolution resistor string DACs, a resistor string is placed in an array of columns and rows, each resistor tap is connected to a switch network, and a decoder is used to select switches to be closed such that sub-DAC voltage comes from the resistor taps connected to the selected switches. The voltages from each row of the resistor string are fed into a multiplexer, wherein the multiplexer produces an output voltage. A method and apparatus are disclosed for implementing the reflective nature of Gray code to design a DAC such that all the switches in a column of the resistor string may be controlled with only one control signal, thereby reducing extra routing costs, surface area, and dynamic power consumed by the circuit.

摘要: Systems, methods and computer program products for determining lost opportunities resulting from changes to advertising spending are described. To assist advertisers in evaluating and allocating a proper budget to advertising, an analyzer can be used to develop an analytical model that gathers data pertaining to the incremental value of search advertising. (e.g., the true cost of the additional click lost or gained), which can be presented to the advertisers when changes have been made/proposed to the advertiser's advertising spending. The analyzer can detect large changes in advertising spending, and indicate (e.g., by prediction) how many total clicks were lost or gained as a result of the change in advertising spending to allow the advertisers to visualize the impact to changes in advertising spending, and determine when to decrease advertising budget on ads that yield low return-on-investment or to increase advertising budget to maximize the effectiveness of an active ad campaign.

摘要: Dynamic time-spectrum block allocation for cognitive radio networks is described. In one implementation, without need for a central controller, peer wireless nodes collaboratively sense local utilization of a communication spectrum and collaboratively share white spaces for communication links between the nodes. Sharing local views of the spectrum utilization with each other allows the nodes to dynamically allocate non-overlapping time-frequency blocks to the communication links between the nodes for efficiently utilizing the white spaces. The blocks are sized to optimally pack the available white spaces. The nodes regularly readjust the bandwidth and other parameters of all reserved blocks in response to demand, so that packing of the blocks in available white spaces maintains a fair distribution of the overall bandwidth of the white spaces among active communication links, minimizes finishing time of all communications, reduces contention overhead among the nodes contending for the white spaces, and maintains non-overlapping blocks.

摘要: A method for curing an encapsulant that surrounds a plurality of integrated circuits on a strip that forms a strip assembly is provided. The strip assembly is composed of units for packaging and the units each have edges defining a perimeter of the unit. The strip assembly is placed on a shelf. Pressure from deformable material or springs is applied to the strip assembly in regions of the strip. The regions are located at one of a group of locations consisting of along unit edges and centered between unit edges. Heat of sufficient temperature is applied for a sufficient duration to cure the encapsulant. The step of applying pressure continues during the application of heat for curing.

摘要: Techniques for enhancing throughput capacity and/or bandwidth distribution fairness among APs in a wireless network are described. Specifically, a channel frequency profile which includes a center frequency and channel-width (i.e., channel bandwidth) is dynamically assigned to each of one or more APs in a wireless network. The assigned channel frequency profile for each AP is based, at least in part, on the current composition of the wireless network including, its topology and traffic load distribution. In this regard, each AP's channel frequency profile can be continuously or periodically changed such that the entire available frequency spectrum is effectively utilized and/or interference between APs is avoided or limited. This, in turn, enhances the throughput capacity and/or bandwidth distribution fairness of the wireless network.
