摘要: A virtual reality system for quantifying functional visual capabilities of a user at varying assessment conditions (e.g., varying light, contrast, color conditions), using a head-mountable display. In addition to the high relevance to users with optical conditions, the present embodiments can lead to rapid and simple measurements within the controlled and reproducible testing conditions that virtual reality can offer. The virtual environment system can obtain a selection of a task to be performed. During execution of the task, a virtual environment optical setting (e.g., a modified lighting setting in the virtual environment display) can be dynamically modified. The user can interact with the objects during execution of the task, which can provide an insight into functional visual capabilities of the user. After completion of the task, an output can be generated that quantifies a functional visual capability of the user during execution of the task.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a flexible container housing a drug substance is disclosed that includes forming a first compartment from a flexible sheet-like material, filling a liquid into the first compartment, sealing the first compartment, forming a second compartment from the flexible sheet-like material, filling a dry drug formulation into the second compartment, and sealing the second compartment. The method further involves lyophilizing the drug formulation inside a tubular cartridge, filling the second compartment by introducing the tubular cartridge through an opening of the second compartment such that an open end of the tubular cartridge is positioned distant from the opening of the second compartment, providing the drug formulation from the open end of the tubular cartridge into the second compartment, and withdrawing the tubular cartridge from the second compartment. The first and second compartments are separated by a frangible seal which opens when the first compartment is compressed.

摘要: A method includes accessing a digital pathology image that depicts tumor cells sampled from a subject. A plurality of patches may be selected from the digital pathology image, wherein each of the patches depicts tumor cells. A mutation prediction may be generated for each of the patches, wherein the mutation prediction represents a prediction of a likelihood that an actionable mutation appears in the patch. Based on the plurality of mutation predictions, a prognostic prediction related to one or more treatment regimens for the subject may be generated. The prognostic prediction may be based on determining one or more mutational contexts of the digital pathology image as an unknown driver or a tumor suppressor, an oncogene driver mutation, or a gene fusion.

摘要: Systems and methods relate to predicting disease progression by processing digital pathology images using neural networks. A digital pathology image that depicts a specimen stained with one or more stains is accessed. The specimen may have been collected from a subject. A set of patches are defined for the digital pathology image. Each patch of the set of patches depicts a portion of the digital pathology image. For each patch of the set of patches and using an attention-score neural network, an attention score is generated. The attention-score neural network may have been trained using a loss function that penalized attention-score variability across patches in training digital pathology images labeled to indicate no or low subsequent disease progression. Using a result-prediction neural network and the attention scores, a result is generated that represents a prediction of whether or an extent to which a disease of the subject will progress.

摘要: The method includes receiving digital images of tissue samples of patients, the images having assigned a label indicating a patient-related attribute value; splitting each received image into a set of image tiles; computing a feature vector for each tile; training a Multiple-Instance-Learning program on all the tiles and respective feature vectors for computing for each of the tiles a numerical value being indicative of the predictive power of the feature vector associated with the tile in respect to the label of the tile's respective image; and outputting a report gallery including tiles sorted in accordance with their respectively computed numerical value and/or including a graphical representation of the numerical value.
