Abstract: A belt and a belt conveyor are provided for transporting particulate material and especially oilseeds up the belt conveyor. The belt conveyor can include an intake end having a hopper, a discharge end, a body extending between the intake end and the discharge end and a belt. The belt travels along a travel path in the belt conveyor; the belt traveling through the hopper, up an upper run in the body to the discharge end, down a return run in the body, and back through the hopper. The belt can have a top surface having pairs of adjacent ridges provided on the top surface, each ridge having a pair of arms extending from a point, in a travel direction of the belt, wherein each pair of adjacent ridges define a v-channel on the top surface of the belt.

Abstract: A collapsible storage system for flowable material, for example granular material, includes a base frame and an upper frame which is movable between a collapsed position and a working position spaced above the collapsed position. A plurality of storage silos are supported in a row, each including a hopper discharge cone on the base frame and a collapsible tubular wall assembly connected between the discharge cone and the upper frame. Redundant loading conveyors are provided in communication with the silos across the upper frame for loading and redundant unloading conveyors are provided in communication with the silos across the base frame.

Abstract: A method of dislodging entrapped particulate material from an assembly of a bin and a hopper for dispensing the particulate material is disclosed. The method includes lifting at least one of a plurality of support legs off of the foundation by a predetermined amount by using at least one lifting mechanism that is resting on the foundation and operatively attached to one of the plurality of support legs; and dropping the at least one support leg into a free fall down on to the foundation using the lifting mechanism, whereby an impact shock thus produced is transmitted to the assembly of the bin and the hopper through the support leg and promote dislodging of any of the particulate material that may be in a non-flowable state to enhance dispensing of the particulate material from the assembly of the bin and the hopper.

Abstract: A lifting mechanism for operably attaching to one of the plurality of support legs on a bin is provided where the lifting mechanism is configured to sequentially lift and drop the support leg by a predetermined amount, whereby an impact shock generated by the drop is transmitted to the bin through the support leg and promote dislodging of any of the particulate material that may be in a non-flowable state to enhance dispensing of the particulate material from the bin. A bin assembly incorporating such lifting mechanism on at least one of its plurality of support legs is also disclosed.

Abstract: A weigh hopper assembly including a plurality of adjacently aligned weigh hoppers connected via a frame, and longitudinal conveyor mechanism extending along a top portion of the weigh hopper assembly. Each weigh hopper has independent load cells in order to individually weigh the material discharged into the weigh hopper. The conveyor mechanism includes a plurality of gates along a bottom surface of the conveyor mechanism, each gate being aligned with a corresponding weigh hopper of the plurality of weigh hoppers. The conveyor mechanism is in turn connected to a plurality of product bins. A top portion of the conveyor mechanism is in communication with a plurality of product bins via a series of inlet chutes and gates. The weigh hoppers are aligned adjacent to each other and spaced so that each weigh hopper aligns with the transport vehicle.

Abstract: A compact dedusting apparatus for cleaning particulate materials of contaminates and has a housing defining a cleaning area in which the contaminants are removed to create cleaned particulate material with a product discharge opening through which cleaned particulate material can be discharged. The dedusting apparatus includes an infeed apparatus having a vibratory feed pan powered by a vibration generator to induce vibrations therein. The dedusting apparatus also includes a Venturi chamber to remove contaminants from the particulate material by a flow of air passing upwardly through the product discharge opening. The dedusting apparatus further includes an interchangeable carryover deflector having a chamber extension member that aligns with internal structure to control the flow of particulate material into said Venturi chamber and deflects particulate material entrained in the air flow through the Venturi chamber toward the product discharge opening. The carryover deflector incorporates an observation window to view the dedusting operation.
