Abstract:
The present invention relates to an adhesive and its use for attachment to microfiber garments. The adhesive provides peel strength, complex modulus and glass transition properties suitable for this application.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a rolled multilayer tire inner liner product and processes or methods for preparing a rolled multilayer tire inner liner product. The product comprises a film layer, two adhesive layers (each directly contacting one outer surface of the film layer) and at least one removable partitioning sheet layer contacting the outer surface of at least one of the adhesive layers. The process includes co-extrusion of a film layer and two adhesive layers, addition of at least one partitioning sheet layer to at least one of the adhesive layers either during the co-extruding step or directly thereafter (and may be a mixture of both if more than one partitioning sheet layer is present) and rolling of the layers together (such that if there is only one partitioning sheet layer it faces inward) to form a rolled multilayer tire inner liner product.
Abstract:
An adhesive tape comprising a core layer comprising a foam and having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The adhesive tape also comprises a first adhesive layer disposed about the first surface. And, the adhesive tape also comprises a second adhesive layer disposed about the second surface. At least one of the first and second adhesive layers comprises a radiation curable rubber based adhesive. The tapes are suitable for bonding an article to a target substrate having a low surface energy and for bonding under a variety of atmospheric conditions including at elevated temperatures.
Abstract:
A thermally curable adhesive in strip or film form, having a thickness in the range of 0.1 to 5 mm, containing: a) at least one reactive epoxy prepolymer, b) at least one latent hardener for epoxies, and c) one or more elastomers that are selected from: c1) thermoplastic polyurethanes, c2) thermoplastic isocyanates, and c3) block copolymers having thermoplastic polymer blocks. Further components can additionally be contained, for example a blowing agent for foaming. The adhesive in the uncured state at 22° C. is bendable or wrappable and can be extended at least 100% before tearing. It can be laid onto a foil. It can be used, for example, for adhesive bonding of planar, tubular, or cylindrical components, preferably components made of metal, wood, ceramic, or ferrites.
Abstract:
Polymer foams, including acrylic foams, comprising low amounts of high-surface-area silica are described. Methods of preparing such foams and articles comprising such foams are also described.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition and a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet comprising a layer formed from the said composition. The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprises, as a base polymer, a block copolymer of a mono-vinyl-substituted aromatic compound and a conjugated diene compound. The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition further comprises a tackifier resin (TH) having a hydroxyl value of 80 mgKOH/g or higher.
Abstract:
There is provided a method of attaching an elongate strip to a door frame of the body of a vehicle comprising application of the elongate strip by means of a device comprising:i. a drive means;ii. an application head;iii. a stress control unit positioned between the drive means and application head and comprising one of more sensor units;iv. and a control unit for controlling the drive means, the elongate strip comprises an adhesive tape comprising a foam layer having first and second major sides and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer associated with one of the major sides of the foam layer, the pressure sensitive adhesive comprising a cross-linked rubber and the foam layer comprises an acrylic polymer of one or more alkyl acrylates having an average of 3 to 14 carbon atoms in the alkyl group, the foam layer having a density of at least 540 kg/m3.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a waterproofing membrane that comprises a carrier sheet, a pressure sensitive adhesive layer on one surface of the carrier sheet, and a protective coating layer on the adhesive layer. The protective coating layer comprises polyvinyl acetate (PVAc). The protective coating layer protects the membrane against weather exposure, tolerates foot traffic and strongly adheres to concrete cast against it.
