Abstract:
A composite flooring structure and method of constructing a composite flooring structure are disclosed. An elongate plastic base having a top surface and a plurality of side walls forming a perimeter about the top surface is provided. An elongate contact surface material is secured to the elongate plastic base atop the plastic base, wherein the length and width of the elongate contact surface material exceeds the length and width of the elongate plastic base. After securing the elongate contact surface material to the elongate plastic base, the elongate contact surface material is cut such that the length and width of the elongate contact surface material approximates the length and width of the elongate plastic base. The elongate plastic base has a plurality of wings disposed about the sides of plastic base. The alignment wings are removed from the elongate plastic base after securing the elongate contact surface material to the elongate plastic base.
Abstract:
A floorboard includes a floorboard main body and a plastic edge frame. The plastic edge frame is configured to wrap the periphery of the floorboard main body. The back of the plastic edge frame is provided with a guide rail. The guide rail is provided with plastic slide blocks. The plastic slide blocks are matched with the guide rail of the plastic edge frame of another corresponding adjacent floorboard. A length defined between two adjacent plastic slide blocks on the same guide rail is greater than the length of each plastic slide block. The floorboard main body includes a wear-resisting layer, a decoration layer, a particleboard layer, and a balanced layer which are arranged from up to bottom. A top surface of the plastic edge frame is hidden under the decoration layer.
Abstract:
The present invention is generally directed to an interlocking modular mat or tile and method of use. The mat comprises a severable core structure with a ramp around its periphery and a connected outer structure. The outer structure surrounding the inner core structure is partitioned into side and corner panels also having ramps internally disposed therein. The novel features of the mat allows it to be cut along several locations to expose the internal ramp structure within each panel, providing a assembled mat system with a secure border around the entire mat. A method of constructing an array of the novel mat panel members involving cutting to expose the internal ramped structure is also disclosed to provide a flooring surface.
Abstract:
Floor panels are shown, which are provided with a mechanical locking system having tongue and grooves provided with protrusions and cavities which are displaceable in relation to each other and configured such that the protrusions can obtain a vertically unlocked position where they match the cavities and a vertically locked position where the protrusions overlap each other.
Abstract:
Modular plastic floor tiles have elongate drainage vents formed to extend from the general upper surfaces of the tiles to general lower surfaces thereof. In a two-shot injection molded embodiment, the vents are laterally spaced from locations of overmolded features, and may be disposed within channels defined by downwardly depending support ribs. In one embodiment, groups of elongate vents are disposed around respective fill points in radiant fashion, so as to minimize the impedance to polymer flow within the injection mold. The vents may be radiussed at the tile's upper surface to enhance their fluid collecting capability.
Abstract:
A modular plastic floor tile is formed by molding a body of a first polymer compound and overmolding features onto the body from a second polymer compound. The compounds may be different from each other in hardness and/or color. The overmolded features may include skins on the sides and bottoms of support member cores disposed below the tile lower surface.
Abstract:
Lateral edges of the modular plastic floor tiles are provided with latches which fit into loops with an interference fit. The latch and loop structure may include an undercut behind the lateral edge of the tile. The loops flex in order to impose a compressive force on mating tile edges.
Abstract:
A composite floor includes a base layer (10), a middle layer (20), a surface layer (30), a bonding member (15), and a releasing member (16). The base layer has a first side (11) provided with a plurality of inserts (111), a second side (12) provided with a plurality of slots (121), a third side (13) provided with a protrusion (131), and a fourth side (14) provided with a recess (141), a lug (144) and a breach (145). Thus, a plurality of composite floors are combined together by an engagement between the inserts and the slots, an engagement between the lug and the breach and an engagement between the protrusion and the recess so that the composite floors are assembled easily and quickly without needing aid of any hand tool.
Abstract:
A water resistant floor board comprises a top layer, a tongue connector, a groove connector, a body, and a bottom layer. The body is made from a man-made material and placed between the tongue connector and the groove connector, and the top layer is placed above the body, the tongue connector, and the groove connector. The bottom layer is a moisture resistant aluminum foil covering the body, the tongue connector, and the groove connector. The tongue and groove connectors are made from moisture resistant solid wood, and the body is made from man-made material. The top layer has a moisture resistant coating.
Abstract:
A laminated floor tile includes the following layers laminated together into a single unit, a base having an underside, an upper surface, and perimetric edges, the base being formed of a high impact copolymer material designed to provide a slight flexure, the base including tabs designed to interact with adjacent floor tiles to hold the adjacent tiles fixedly in place, and panels extending upwardly from the perimetric edges of the base and forming the upper surface into a tray shape, graphic media positioned on the base within the tray, and a clear protective layer overlying the graphic image.
