    摘要: A rail connection assembly includes an outer rail connection tube having a rail connection outlet, a component having a substantially centrally located bore that is fixed to the outer rail connection tube remote from said rail connection outlet, and a piston adapted for movement between a first position and a second position, with the second position being remote from said bore. A nipple having a predetermined cross section and extends from the piston and is slidably movable into and remote from said bore when the piston is moved between the first and second positions, respectively. A fluid communication path exists between the bore and the rail connection outlet. This provides a pilot injection of fuel when the piston moves into an intermediate position between the first and second positions and a full injection of fuel when the piston reaches the second position.

    摘要: A hydraulically actuated fuel injector includes an injector body that defines an actuation fluid cavity and a nozzle outlet, and further defines a low pressure area and a fuel pressurization chamber in fluid communication with a spill passage. A pumping element is positioned in the injector body and moveable between a retracted position and an advanced position. The pumping element has a first end exposed to fluid pressure in the actuation fluid cavity and a second end exposed to fluid pressure in the fuel pressurization chamber. An electronic spill valve attached to the injector body is moveable between an open position in which the spill passage fluidly connects the fuel pressurization chamber to the low pressure area, and a closed position in which the spill passage is closed. Opening and closing of the spill valve during an injection event produces various rate shaping injection effects.

    摘要: A distributor type fuel injection pump has an accumulator. When an internal combustion engine is in low-speed rotation or in low-load operation, the accumulator accumulates part of the fuel pressurized within a fuel compression chamber, thereby lowering the fuel injection rate. Also, the fuel injection pump is provided with compensator which operates simultaneously with the accumulator. While the injection rate is lowered by operation of the accumulator, the compensator extends the injection period to compensate for the reduction of injection quantity attributed to reduction of the injection rate.

    摘要: A fluid pressure chamber is formed in a fuel injection valve, in which a piston connected to a nozzle needle is reciprocally disposed. The pressure chamber is supplied with fluid under pressure from a fluid pump through a check valve. The pressure chamber is also connected with an orifice. When a fuel is distributed from a fuel injection pump under pressure and supplied to the injection valve, the nozzle needle is lifted by the distributed fuel under pressure. When the nozzle needle is lifted, the fluid in the pressure chamber is compressed for causing a fluid pressure applied to the piston in a valve closing direction, whereby the starting of the fuel injection becomes gentle, decreasing combustion noises.
