摘要: Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for generating a configuration page for rendering in a graphical user interface (GUI) for managing provisioning of storage resources in a storage system. A determination is made of allocation commitment certainties for virtual storage ranges to allocate from the storage system based on physical capacity in the storage system and an estimated data reduction rate. Each of the allocation commitment certainties indicates a likelihood that a corresponding of the virtual storage ranges will be available for allocation in the storage system. Visual representation of a plurality of user selectable storage spaces indicating the allocation commitment certainties for the virtual storage ranges in the user selectable storage spaces are rendered in the configuration page. A user selection graphic that when selected provisions a selected of the user selectable storage spaces in the storage system is rendered in the configuration page.

The PINApp can be used to unify all of the digital content stored on multiple devices and cloud services for a single owner or user.

The management system identifies, based on second information indicating an execution content of each of the jobs, storage areas at the host computer for storing data of the jobs having possibility to be executed simultaneously. The management system identifies, based on third information indicating an allocation relation between the data storage areas of the host computer and resources of the storage apparatus, a resource of the storage apparatus allocated to each of the identified storage areas. The management system determines a physical resource of the storage apparatus, allocated to at least two of the storage areas of the identified storage areas, has possibility to be used simultaneously by at least two jobs.

A controller of the storage system provided with a flash memory chip manages a surplus capacity value of the flash memory chip, and transmits a value based on the surplus capacity value to a management server, on the basis of at least one of a definition of a parity group, a definition of an internal LU, and a definition of a logical unit. The management server displays a state of the storage system by using the received value based on the surplus capacity value.

摘要: Methods and apparatus related to on-the-fly performance adjustment techniques for solid state storage devices are described. In one embodiment, a controller logic controls access to one or more non-volatile memory devices. The controller logic causes a change in an operational frequency of one or more of: the controller logic, a bus that couples the one or more non-volatile memory devices to the controller logic, and one or more of the one or more non-volatile memory devices. Also, the controller logic is capable of causing the change in the operational frequency in response to a command. Furthermore, changing power limits is made possible to scale solid state storage device performance based on system capabilities. Other embodiments are also disclosed and claimed.

The management system determines whether an operational item of a tier that is upper than a tier of the lowest level includes only the automated operational item, only the manual execution operational item, or both for all tiers of the lower level based on the operational item type information and the tier relationship information. The management system controls a display of an icon that indicates a plurality of operational items for the predetermined tier of the operational flow based on the result of the determination.
