    摘要: A jointing assembly for electrical cables may include: a connector extending about a longitudinal axis and provided, at at least one end portion thereof, with at least one housing seat for at least one free end of a respective electrical cable; and a shrinkable sleeve coaxially arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the connector. The shrinkable sleeve may be held in a radially expanded state by at least one removable support element radially interposed between the connector and the shrinkable sleeve. The connector may be mechanically coupled to the at least one removable support element by at least one stop element that radially projects from at least one of the connector and the at least one removable support element, and that contacts the other one of the connector and the at least one removable support element.

    摘要: Power connector including a pair of discrete contact springs configured to electrically engage a conductive component. Each of the contact springs includes a contact body having opposite inner and outer side surfaces and a contact edge that extends between the inner and outer side surfaces. The contact body is shaped to form a spring base and a mating portion. The spring bases of the contact springs are joined by a locking feature. The locking feature includes a localized portion of at least one of the spring bases. The localized portion frictionally engages the other spring base to interlock the spring bases. Each of the mating portions extends from the corresponding spring base. The mating portions are separated by a receiving space and are configured to engage the conductive component when the conductive component is inserted into the receiving space.

    摘要: A method is provided for attaching a termination arrangement to a shielded cable which includes a conductive core, a core insulation layer, a conductive shield layer, and an outer insulation layer. A length of the outer insulation layer is removed to expose an end portion of the conductive shield layer and a length of the core insulation layer is removed to expose a portion of the conductive core. The termination assembly is provided having a terminal, a core crimp section in electrical communication with the terminal, and an inner ferrule section connected to the core crimp section. The core crimp section is positioned adjacent to the exposed conductive core and crimped around said conductive core in electrical contact therewith. The inner ferrule section is positioned adjacent to the exposed conductive shield layer and crimped around the core insulation layer. The core crimp section is separated from the inner ferrule section.

    摘要: An electrical connection terminal for securely retaining a connection object without degrading connection reliability, and a connector using the electrical connection terminal. A first contacting portion adapted to cut into a lead wire of a cable to restrict displacement thereof in a counter-insertion direction is provided in the leading-end corner of a first contact piece of a terminal, and a second contacting portion with which the lead wire slidably makes contact is provided on the leading end of a second contact piece of the terminal. Disconnection of the lead wire is prevented by means of the first contacting portion and securing a sufficient area of connect with the lead wire by the second contacting portion. The second contacting portion is formed by chamfering the leading-end corner of the second contact piece. Accordingly, the leading-end side of the second contact piece need not be bent to form a curved-surface contacting portion.
