    摘要: An ignition system for an internal combustion engine has a power source, a transformer having a first primary winding and a second primary winding and a secondary winding, a connector extending from the secondary winding so as to connect with a terminal of a spark plug, and a multi-strike circuit cooperative with the electronic spark timing circuit so as to fire the transformer with multiple strikes between the falling edge and the rising edge. A booster circuit is cooperative at the electronic spark timing circuit so as to collect and store energy from the power source while the electronic spark timing circuit fires the transformer. A delay circuit fires the transformer at a time subsequent to the falling edge and before the rising edge.

    摘要: A system, circuit, and method are provided for generating continuous plasma to control combustion including the ignition and maintenance of the combustion process. An electric potential difference is generated across a pair of electrodes in a combustible bulk gas in the form of an oscillating driving potential just below the arcing threshold which alternates in polarity to cause an alternating gap current between the electrodes which generates continuous plasma to contribute to combustion of the bulk gas by providing for more efficient combustion.

    摘要: An internal combustion engine electrically ignites most of the fuel as it is introduced into the combustion chamber. This design solves the lower efficiency of typical Otto Cycle engines by allowing the use of a full air charge for each power cycle. This design also solves the problem of heavy duty designs required for existing diesel cycle engines by allowing relatively low compression ratios and therefore lighter weight engine designs. The engine design allows a wide range of fuel combustion properties, as it avoids a dependence on flame propagation through a combustible mixture, where fuel combustion properties control evaporation, rate of flame front propagation and the like. The engine design forces the combustion to be initiated as and at the rate the fuel is introduced into the combustion chamber.

The voltage exciting the oscillating circuit is reduced after the beginning of the combustion and the oscillating circuit is then excited with a reduced voltage.
