    Abstract: The present invention provides rotor including: a rotor core having a cylindrical shape; and a plurality of magnets disposed to surround an outer circumferential surface of the rotor core, wherein the magnet includes an inner circumferential surface in contact with the outer circumferential surface of the rotor core, when a first angle is defined by dividing an angle formed by the outer circumferential surface of the rotor core by the number of magnets, a second angle is formed by a first extension line and a second extension line which extend from both end points of the inner circumferential surface of the magnet to a center point of the rotor core on cross sections of the rotor core and the magnet, and a ratio of the second angle to the first angle is in a range of 0.87 to 0.93, thereby providing an advantageous effect of greatly reducing a cogging torque by decreasing a width of the magnet to double a cogging main degree.

    Abstract: The invention describes an electrical machine comprising a stator and a rotor which is separated from the stator by an air gap and has a plurality of shell-like magnet segments which are fastened to a magnetic return path element. In this case, the magnet segments are arranged opposite one another in pairs in each case and each have a plurality of magnetically differently polarized sections in the circumferential direction, said sections each forming a magnetic pole of the rotor. In this case, recesses which each serve as outer detached pole portions are provided on that side which faces the stator in the edge zones of the magnet segments which are arranged in the circumferential direction. Furthermore, further recesses are provided on that side which faces the stator in the transition zones between the magnetically differently polarized sections of the magnet segments, said recesses serving as inner detached pole portions.

    Abstract: A starting power generation apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a starter generator including a field portion having a permanent magnet, and an armature unit including a first multi-phase winding and a second multi-phase winding which are arranged in parallel; a first power conversion unit including a first positive-side DC terminal connected to a battery and a plurality of first AC terminals connected to the first multi-phase winding, the first power conversion unit being configured to convert a power bidirectionally between DC and AC; a second power conversion unit including a plurality of second AC terminals connected to the second multi-phase winding, the second power conversion unit being configured to control a current to be input and output via the second AC terminals; and a control unit configured to detect a positional relationship between the field portion and the armature unit based on an output voltage of the second multi-phase winding, and control the first power conversion unit and the second power conversion unit in accordance with the positional relationship detected. The control unit is configured to detect the positional relationship when the starter generator is stopped, based on time widths of two or more predetermined voltages generated in two or more windings constituting the second multi-phase winding in a case that an output voltage of the battery is applied to the first multi-phase winding for a predetermined time in a state where current input and output via the second AC terminals is off.

    Abstract: Provided is a rotating electrical machine in which torque ripple can be decreased at the time of one-side electrical current supply. A motor includes a stator coil constituted by concentrated windings arranged to teeth where an integer N≥2. The stator coil includes first and second winding units and each of which is constituted by windings and which are independent from each other, the windings constituting the first winding unit are arranged in three teeth groups, each of which includes adjacent teeth and which are provided at 120-degree pitches in terms of mechanical angle, and the windings constituting the second winding unit are arranged in teeth which are the teeth not included in the three teeth groups. That is, the windings constituting the second winding unit are also arranged in three teeth groups, which are provided at 120-degree pitches in terms of mechanical angle.
