Abstract: A storage tank includes a frame, tank assembly, and scrubber system. The tank assembly including a vessel supported by the frame and having a first end, a second end, and a polygonal sidewall extending from the first end to the second end. The vessel further having a top, a bottom, at least one side, and an internal surface, and an outlet fluidly coupled with the bottom; and a chemical-resistant lining associated with the internal surface of the sidewall and being substantially flexible. A scrubber tank is supported by the frame and fluidly connected to the vessel to receive vapors from the vessel in a way that when a vapor absorption material is disposed in the scrubber tank, the vapors pass into the vapor absorption material.

Abstract: A pressure vessel includes a hollow body including a body, a first end, and a second end. The body includes a cylindrical body wall and each of the first and second ends includes a convex, rounded end wall. Each of the first and second ends forms a first and second juncture, respectively, where each end wall meets the body wall. The pressure vessel further includes first and second projections adjacent to the first and second juncture, respectively, and a fiber wrap surrounding the wall of the body between the first and second projections.

Abstract: A methane transportation system is provided. The system may include a methane source configured to dispense methane at a first location, and an underwater vehicle. The underwater vehicle may include a propulsion system configured to transport the underwater vehicle underwater from the first location to a second location and a vessel defining a storage chamber configured to receive water and the methane from the methane source. The storage chamber of the vessel may have a pressure exceeding one atmosphere and a temperature during transport from the first location to the second location sufficient to form methane clathrate in the storage chamber. The system may further include a methane receiver configured to receive the methane released from the storage chamber at the second location. Related methods are also provided.

Abstract: A pressure vessel (2) for the storage of fluid has a core (10) made of metal or polymer and is wrapped either completely or partially from outside with a high strength fibers (21, 22) for reinforcement wherein one of the reinforcing fibers is a metal wire (21) of a single filament or cables of multi filaments having strength from 2000 MPa to 6000 MPa. The wire has a plastic ductility of over 20% in reduction in area (RA) at tensile fracture. The metal wire (21) is made of steel or nickel or titanium or their respective alloys. The core (10) of the vessel (2) is first wrapped with a resin covered ceramic fibers such as carbon, fiberglass and subsequently wrapped with the metal wire (21) with or without other fibers (22). The metal wires (21) can be of different diameters in parallel or cabled forms.

Abstract: An enclosure for containing cylinders includes an upper surface, a lower surface, opposing side walls spanning the upper and lower surfaces, and an end surface spanning the upper and lower surfaces, the upper surface, lower surface, side walls, and end surface defining an enclosed space. A plurality of inner walls divides the enclosed space to define bays. A removable door panel is opposite the end surface and includes dividers defining portions of the door panel corresponding to the bays. The enclosure includes a plurality of first contact pads, a plurality of first mounting plates, a plurality of second contact pads, and a plurality of second mounting plates. At least one first contact pad and at least one second contact pad is positioned in a corner of each bay and each portion, respectively, at an angle that is neither parallel or perpendicular to either the side walls or the upper surface.

Abstract: A solvent storage and depressurization system is described. The system allows a volume of solvent to be stored and used at low pressure, thereby providing safety benefits and regulatory simplicity. The system includes an external expansion tank that is located outside of an extraction facility and that contains a solvent. The system also includes an internal storage tank that is located inside of the extraction facility and that provides a solvent supply to a solvent user, such as a phytochemical extraction system. The external and internal tanks are separated and connected via a duplex manifold. The manifold allows gas below a first pressure level to pass from the external expansion tank to the internal storage tank, and allows gas above a second pressure level to pass from the internal storage tank back to the external expansion tank, wherein the second pressure level is greater than the first pressure level.

Abstract: A gas tank container having increased volume is disclosed. The gas tank container for storing and/or transporting gas and/or liquid, includes a tank vessel, a frame and at least one outlet valve. The end of the outlet valve is attached to a tank flange, which is sunk in a recess at the end of the tank vessel. By recessing at least one outlet valve of the gas tank container, the length of the tank vessel can be optimized within the frame.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, a cryogenic storage tank includes a manway formed in a body of the cryogenic storage tank. An inner manway lid is coupled to an inner wall of the cryogenic storage tank and disposed over at least a portion of the manway. An outer manway lid is coupled to an outer wall of the cryogenic storage tank and disposed over at least a portion of the manway. The inner and outer manway lids are configured to retain pressure within the cryogenic storage tank.

The Type 1 pressure vessel is in fluid communication with the at least one Type 4 pressure vessel. A metal wall of the at least one Type 1 pressure vessel has a Type 1 thermal conductance that is greater than a Type 4 thermal conductance of the at least one Type 4 pressure vessel.
