    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to sharing a spectrum using node-specific medium reservation signals are provided. A first wireless communication device a first configuration designated to the first wireless communication device. The first configuration indicates at least one waveform for representing reservation information. The first wireless communication device transmits a reservation signal to reserve a transmission opportunity (TXOP) in a shared spectrum. The reservation signal includes a first waveform representing corresponding first reservation information based on the first configuration. The first waveform is associated with a root sequence and a cyclic-shift value. The first reservation information indicates a transmit power level of the reservation signal. The first reservation information indicates an interference tolerance level of the first wireless communication device. The first reservation information indicates a reserved duration within the TXOP.

    Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may be a base station. The apparatus may transmit a first grant to a UE. The apparatus may determine whether an acknowledgment to the first grant is received. When the acknowledgment to the first grant fails to be received by the apparatus, the apparatus may transmit, to the UE, a second grant including information regarding the first grant. In another aspect, an apparatus may be a UE. The apparatus may receive a first grant. The first grant may include a first Mayday bit. The apparatus may receive a second grant. The second grant may include a TTI count corresponding to a number of unacknowledged TTIs. The second grant may further include a second Mayday bit. The apparatus may determine an acknowledgment based on the TTI count and the first and second Mayday bits.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to reserving resources in wireless communication systems, such as those employing listen before talk (LBT). The disclosed methods and apparatus employ a channel reservation preamble used in a sequence of burst or data packet transmissions. The preamble including a channel reservation indication is included in a first data packet transmitted from a first network node. The channel reservation indication is configured to indicate a transmission time reservation of channel resources covering the data packet containing the preamble, a second data packet to be received from a second network node responsive to the first data packet, and at least a portion of a third data packet transmitted from the first network node subsequent to the transmission of the second data packet. In this manner, over-reservation of channel resources is mitigated. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

In some aspects, the independent links may involve a first device (e.g., a user equipment) communicating via different independent links with different devices (e.g., transmit receive points (TRPs) or sets of TRPs). For example, the first device may communicate with a second device (e.g., a TRP) via a first link and communicate with a third device (e.g., a TRP) via a second link.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) or base station communicating in an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band may transmit a signal (e.g., a request-to-send (RTS) or clear-to-send (CTS) signal) in a licensed radio frequency spectrum band to decrease the likelihood that neighboring devices will transmit interfering communications. Specific resources may be designated in the licensed radio frequency spectrum band for transmitting these signals, and these resources may be associated with specific unlicensed channels. Signaling in the licensed radio frequency spectrum band may also carry an indication of the unlicensed channel being used or other information relevant to the unlicensed communication. The RTS/CTS signaling in licensed radio frequency spectrum band may be transmitted during a downlink transmit opportunity or an uplink transmit opportunity, or both. Different energy detection thresholds may apply to RTS/CTS signals in licensed and unlicensed spectrum.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for evolved multimedia broadcast multicast service (eMBMS) utilizing enhanced component carriers (eCCs). A wireless system may send unicast data using resources allocated for multicast transmissions (e.g., eMBMS transmissions). The presence of unicast data in a transmission time interval (TTI) scheduled for multicast transmission may be indicated by a control region within the TTI. A UE may monitor the control region to identify the presence of unicast information. A TTI scheduled for multicast transmission may also include reference signals to aid in the demodulation of multicast or unicast data. In some cases, the reference signals may be front-loaded at the beginning or embedded within the TTI. The embedded reference signals may be configured based on the type of data carried by the TTI scheduled for multicast transmission, or by length of the cyclic prefix used by the TTI scheduled for multicast transmission.
