Abstract: A network management system (NMS) is configured to control roaming in a wireless network using a variable mobility threshold. For a first wireless device associated with a current location, the NMS obtains at least one performance metric of a first wireless signal received by the first wireless device at the current location from a first AP of a plurality of APs, compares the at least one parameter of the first wireless signal to at least one performance metric of a second wireless signal received by at least one other wireless device at the current location from a second AP of the plurality of APs, and triggers a roaming operation of the first wireless device from the first AP to the second AP if the comparison satisfies a mobility threshold that varies based on the at least one performance metric of the first wireless signal.

Abstract: A network access server (NAS) device is described that is configured to load balance authentication requests to network access control (NAC) systems based on a type of the authentication request. The NAS device may probe or ping one or more geographically distributed NAC systems to determine response latency and to receive load and status indications from the NAC systems. In response to receipt of an authentication request from a client device, the NAS device may select one NAC system from among the one or more NAC systems based on the load and status indications of the NAC systems and the type of authentication request received.

Abstract: A disclosed apparatus may extend hold-up times for computing devices with redundant power supply units (PSUs). For example, an apparatus may include a plurality of PSUs and a controller. In one example, the PSUs may be configured to convert power from at least one AC input into a direct current (DC) output and to provide the DC output to a computing device. In this example, the controller may be configured to detect a loss of the AC input and a failure of a first PSU included in the plurality of PSUs. The controller may also be configured to extend a hold-up time of a second PSU included in the plurality of PSUs by boosting an undervoltage lockout signal monitored by the computing device in response to detecting the loss of the AC input and the failure of the first PSU. Various other apparatuses, systems, and methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: In an example, systems and methods enable automatic implementation of intent-based security policies in a network system, such as a software-defined wide area network system, in which network segment prefixes for network segments at one or more sites are dynamically learned. A service orchestrator controller translates an intent-based security policy input by a user to a security policy for a first site. The security policy for the first site specifies a segment-specific queryable resource associated with a second site. To implement the security policy, a device associated with the first site queries the segment-specific queryable resource associated with the second site, and updates one or more forwarding tables of the device with the network segment prefixes associated with one or more network segments at the second site received in response to the query. The first site forwards network traffic to the second site based on the updated forwarding tables.

Abstract: In some implementations, a head Level 2 (L2) node of an intermediate system-intermediate system (IS-IS) flood reflection (FR) network may determine an end-to-end path from the head L2 node to a tail L2 node of the IS-IS FR network. The IS-IS FR network includes a plurality of L2 nodes and a plurality of FR clusters that each comprise a plurality of Level 1 (L1) nodes and a plurality of L1 and L2 (L1/L2) nodes connected by a plurality of L1 links. The head L2 node may send information associated with the end-to-end path to another node identified in the end-to-end path to cause a label switched path (LSP) to be established from the head L2 node to the tail L2 node, wherein the LSP traverses one or more L1 links within an FR cluster of the IS-IS FR network.

Abstract: A sourceless co-packaged optical-electrical chip can include a plurality of different optical transceivers, each of which can transmit to an external destination or internal components. Each of the transceivers can be configured for a different modulation format, such as different pulse amplitude, phase shift key, and quadrature amplitude modulation formats. Different light sources provide light for processing by the transceivers, where the light source and transceivers can be configured for different applications (e.g., different distances) and data rates. An optical coupler can combine the light for the different transceivers for input into the sourceless co-packaged optical-electrical chip via a polarization maintaining media (e.g., polarization maintaining few mode fiber and polarization maintaining single mode fiber), where another coupler operates in splitting mode to separate the different channels of light for the different transceivers according to different co-packaged configurations.

The advertisement may be associated with indicating that the second network device is configured to support a particular flex-algorithm. The first network device may identify, in the advertisement, an address of the second network device. The first network device may configure a routing table of the first network device to indicate that the second network device is capable of receiving traffic associated with the particular flex-algorithm based on the address.
