A gaming machine includes a light emitting portion, a terminal controller, a light emission control unit, a power supply unit, an input device through which a predetermined input is externally input, and a light emission power control unit. The light emitting portion emits light. The terminal controller runs a game. The light emission control unit causes: with power supplied thereto, the light emitting portion to emit light; and controls the light emitting portion so that the light emitting portion emits light in a lighting mode associated with a game state. The power supply unit supplies power to the light emission control unit and the terminal controller, separately. The light emission power control unit controls, in response to the predetermined input, the power supply from the power supply unit to the light emission control unit in a resettable manner, while terminal controller is running the game.

A zoom lens includes a focus cam for converting a first rotation amount given upon a focus operation into a movement of the focus lens group and further converting a second rotation amount given upon a zoom operation into the movement of the focus lens group, and a focus cam follower engaged with the focus cam and operable to move in the focus cam. The focus cum follower rotates in the focus cum according to the rotation amount of the zoom driving unit to move the focus lens group. A lift amount of the focus cam is defined so that a rotation amount of the focus driving unit from a far end position to an infinite position when the rotation position of the zoom driving unit is at a wide-angle end becomes larger than the rotation amount when the rotating position of the zoom driving unit is at a telephoto end.

Forming a back-illuminated type CMOS image sensor, includes process for formation of a registration mark on the wiring side of a silicon substrate during formation of an active region or a gate electrode. A silicide film using an active region may also be used for the registration mark. Thereafter, the registration mark is read from the back side by use of red light or near infrared rays, and registration of the stepper is accomplished. It is also possible to form a registration mark in a silicon oxide film on the back side (illuminated side) in registry with the registration mark on the wiring side, and to achieve the desired registration by use of the registration mark thus formed.

A lens control apparatus, and an interchangeable lens including the lens control apparatus, are provided which can obtain, in zoom tracking operation, excellent optical images at subject distances in a wider range. A lens control apparatus controls drive of an optical system including a first and a second focus lens for adjusting a focus state and a zoom lens for adjusting an angle of view. The lens control apparatus includes: a first driver that drives the first focus lens; a second driver that drives the second focus lens; a controller that controls the first and second drivers; and a storage unit that stores first and second tracking data, the first and second tracking data each being information that associates a position of the first and second focus lenses respectively with a position of the zoom lens for focusing on a subject.

A communication network system including a plurality of nodes disposed on a communication bus, and where each of the nodes is capable of transitioning between a normal operation mode and a low electricity consumption mode. The communication network system controls only a required node, in order to communicate with such required node, by transitioning the required node from the low power mode to the normal operation mode. To control the mode of the required nodes, a controlling node keeps a signal change state of the communication bus for a period that is longer than a normal communication frame length. The required node determines whether the period of the signal change state is longer than a threshold of the required node itself, to output a wakeup signal to a control circuit.

An image forming system includes an image forming unit, a feeding unit, a side edge reversal unit, a leading edge reversal unit, and a control unit, wherein, when there is a request for image formation on a bundle of sheets including a special sheet having a special part at an edge so that the edge is not straight and there is a request for image formation on both surfaces of the special sheet, the control unit controls the feeding unit, the image forming unit, the side edge reversal unit, the image forming unit to transport the special sheet having the image of the preceding page formed thereon to the downstream side after the front and back of the sheet are reversed by the leading edge reversal unit.

This invention relates to a pearlescent pigment, which is composed of flaky alumina substrate particles produced by a hydrothermal process and coat layers formed on the flaky substrate particles and composed of at least one metal oxide including at least a titanium oxide. The metal oxide has an average particle size of from 1 to 500 nm. According to this invention, it is possible to provide a pearlescent pigment, which has wholly uniform photoluminescence and an elegant and silky feel in combination and can fully satisfy artistry as desired.

To provide an interchangeable lens camera system for shooting with the best in-focus position, no matter how a group of two or more interchangeable lenses to produce different degrees of spherical aberrations and a group of cameras of different types with different evaluated autofocus frequencies are combined. The camera system of this invention includes a lens unit and a camera body to be removable and attachable from/to each other. The lens unit includes a first computing section for acquiring shooting parameters during a focusing operation and a storage section that stores reference data for changing focus positions according to the contrast of image. The camera body includes an imaging device to output a video signal representing subject's image and a second computing section for measuring the contrast of the image based on its own predetermined evaluated AF frequency during the focusing operation and calculating a correction value based on the shooting parameter and the reference data associated with the highest contrast, thereby changing the focus positions according to the correction value calculated.
