摘要: An illuminated seat belt buckle comprises a light source disposed within the buckle for emitting light and a member of light transmission material in the buckle forming a path for conducting light from the light source to a selected portion of the buckle. The member includes a first portion to receive light from the source, a second portion forming an angle with the first portion such the direction of the path changes, and a totally internally reflecting prism for reflecting the light from the first portion to the second portion.

摘要: In an illuminated buckle for a seat belt system, an illuminating source is furnished in the buckle and a luminous cover section transmits the light from the illuminating source so as to emit light on the top and both lateral sides of the buckle main body. The lighted lateral sides of the buckle cover facilitate locating the buckle at night and also allow ready confirmation when the belt is not in place about the body of the occupant in a vehicle.

摘要: The present invention provides a disc-shaped magnetic recording medium particularly suitable for high density recording obtainable a high output power with low noise. In the disc-shaped magnetic recording medium according to the present invention, a ferromag netic powder having a coercive force of about 1,000 Oe or higher and a BET specific surface area in the range from about 25 to 70 m.sup.2 /g is employed. This allows a decrease in noise level and satisfies the electromagnetic performance requirements for high density recording. A random (unoriented) orientation or a circumferential orientation of the ferromagnetic powder in the magnetic layer provides high output power without causing a variation in output power.

摘要: A fuel injection rate deducing system for a diesel engine includes a fuel injection pump and a fuel feed pump. The injection pump has an inlet, an outlet, and an overflow outlet. The outlet is connected to the engine to conduct fuel from the injection pump to the engine to effect fuel injection. The overflow outlet is internally connected to the inlet. A fuel feed line is connected to the inlet to conduct fuel to the injection pump. The feed pump is disposed in the feed line to drive fuel into the injection pump via the feed line. A fuel return line connects the overflow outlet to the feed line at a position upstream of the feed pump. At least some of the fuel conducted to the injection pump via the inlet exits from the injection pump via the overflow outlet and then all enters the feed pump via the return line and the feed line. A flowmeter measures the rate of fuel flow through the feed line upstream of the connection of the return line to the feed line. The measured results are used to indicate the rate of fuel injection via the injection pump.

摘要: Disclosed is a fuel/air mixture supply system for an internal combustion engine of the single-point fuel injection type wherein, the intake manifold system is formed with a first fuel/air supply passage which inspires atmospheric air and which has fitted generally at a midpoint thereof a fuel injection valve which injects fuel into the inspired air. The fuel/air mixture then proceeds to a first set of branched passages, each one of which conducts the fuel/air mixture to a cylinder of the engine. Further, there is provided a second air supply passage which inspires atmospheric air and which branches into a second set of branched passages, each one of which conducts air to a cylinder of the engine. The first fuel/air supply passage is smaller than the second air supply passage, and the first set of branched passages are smaller than the second set of branched passages. The flow of air/fuel mixture in the first fuel/air supply passage is controlled by a first throttle valve, and the flow of air in the second air supply passage and/or the second branched passages is controlled by a regulating means responsive to the operation of the first throttle valve, so as to be substantially zero when the first throttle valve is open an amount less than a certain predetermined amount, while, when the first throttle valve is opened greater than the certain predetermined amount, the flow is progressively increased.

摘要: A fuel injection valve drive system is disclosed for use in an internal combustion engine including at least one solenoid operated fuel injection valve. The system comprises a first pulse generator for providing, in synchronism with rotation of the engine, a first pulse signal having a constant pulse width, a second pulse generator for providing a second pulse signal of pulse width dependent upon the amount of air introduced to the engine, first switch means responsive to a first pulse signal for allowing small current to flow through the solenoid coil of the fuel injection valve so as not to open the fuel injection valve, and second switch means responsive to a second pulse signal for allowing large current to flow through the solenoid coil so as to open the fuel injection valve. Means are provided for causing the second pulse generator to generate a second pulse signal a time after the first pulse generator generates a first pulse signal.

摘要: The invention relates to a fuel supplying device for an internal combustion engine. A fuel supplying device for an internal combustion engine includes a fuel injector for injecting fuel into a collector or riser section of an intake manifold from which a plurality of branches extend toward cylinders of the engine. According to the invention, an induction passage is bent or provided with an elbow so that induction air will change its direction toward a heated bottom wall of the riser section before entering the same and the fuel injector is arranged so as to inject fuel toward the bottom wall and radially inwardly into a flow of induction air passing through the induction passage. With this the amount of fuel flowing along the riser walls has been considerably reduced, thus enhancing the response characteristics.
