摘要： An anti-theft tag deterring theft of a ring is provided. The anti-theft tag includes an elongated housing for accommodating an EAS marker, a product support member that locks into the housing and which supports the ring, and a flexible, tear resistant strap for securing the ring to the support member, the strap being disposed at least partially within the housing during use. In one embodiment, the support member includes an arcuate seat portion for supporting a circular shank portion of the ring, and a locking member that locks into a corresponding cavity in the housing. In use, the tear resistant strap extends over the ring shank, and the strap ends are received within the cavity of the housing to protect the strap from unauthorized removal by a consumer.

The device may be configured to be placed in fluid communication with a sample solution containing a solute and a solvent. The filter membrane may provide selective fluid communication between the solution and the exchange chamber. The separator may separate the exchange chamber from the sensing chamber and cause a change in a condition of the sensing chamber corresponding to a change of a condition of the exchange chamber. The sensor may sense the condition pertaining to the sensing chamber and calculate the concentration of the sample solution corresponding to this change.

摘要： Various technologies and techniques are disclosed that improve text rendering contrast. The shape of one or more characters is converted from an original format, such as a vector format received from a font, to an overscaled bitmap format. The width of the shape of the character is adjusted based on a text contrast setting. For example, the width of the shape can be adjusted by extending a right or other edge of the shape by the number of pixels corresponding to the numerical value of the text contrast setting. The shape is made wider or thinner based on the text contrast setting. A filtering procedure is used to determine density values for how the shape corresponds to a set of screen pixels. The density values are blended with color values related to the display device to form a modified shape ready for output. The modified shape is then displayed.
