摘要: A blade of a cleaning device includes two surfaces: an upstream side surface and a downstream side surface. The two surfaces adjoin each other with respect to a contact edge of the blade. The upstream side surface has a longer dimension in the direction orthogonal to the contact edge than that of the downstream side surface. A horizontal portion of a blade holder that restricts a warp in the blade is bonded on an opposed surface to the upstream side surface of the blade. The blade is held via the horizontal portion with a vertical portion of the blade holder supported by the main body of the cleaning device in a downstream of a normal line to a contact point on a photoconductor surface in contact with the contact edge, in the photoconductor-surface moving direction.

摘要: A method of executing a plurality of steps that are performed sequentially in temporal order under computer control is provided wherein a central processing computer and a plurality of terminal computers are provided. Each of the plurality of steps is executed by one of the terminal computers. When one of the terminal computers assigned to a single step has completed the work in the step assigned to it and is able to execute the work in the next step, that terminal computer sends a work completion signal to the central processing computer. The central processing computer receives this work completion signal and prepares a work item notice that indicates that the next step can be started, such that the notice can be displayed on the screen of the terminal computer used for the next step. The terminal computer used for the next step allows the work item notice displayed on its display screen to be clicked to start work on the next step assigned to it.

摘要: An image forming apparatus having improved air flow and/or handling of toner or other debris between a fixing device and an image carrier. In accordance with one aspect of the invention, the completeness and effectiveness of an air exhaust system of an image forming apparatus is improved by utilizing a flow improvement board which is located between the image carrier and the fixing device. The flow improvement board can be mounted upon the fixing device and extends downwardly beyond the fixing device. The flow improvement board provides a more regular flow of air toward the exhaust device thereby improving the effectiveness and completeness of the exhaustion of air. In addition, in accordance with another aspect of the invention, a magnet can be provided upon the board or associated with the fixing device, with the magnet including a plurality of poles which alternately extend along the widthwise direction of the mixing device. The magnet removes floating toner, and is oriented for most effective results with the flow produced by the flow improvement board.

摘要: To unvisualize the mechanical indicating instrument for an automotive vehicle when the ignition switch is turned off, the pointer is covered by a pointer cover below zero indication when the meter is deactivated, or a semitransparent front cover is disposed in front of the dial. In this case, the meter is offset by an offset magnet from a zero position to under the pointer cover when deactivated. On the other hand, to visualize the same instrument, when the ignition switch is turned on, lamps disposed in front and/or back of the dial are illuminated and a colored transparent pointer is illuminated by another or the same lamp in linkage with the ignition switch.

摘要: A cleaning device includes a laminated blade member including multiple layers made of materials different in permanent set value and a holding member to hold the blade member. The multiple layers include an edge layer formed of a material higher in permanent set value among the materials and a backing layer disposed against a distal surface of the edge layer. The laminated blade member includes a leading edge where an edge portion of the edge layer contacting a cleaning target is located and a trailing edge where the holding member supports the blade member. A ratio of a thickness of the edge layer to a thickness of the backing layer at the trailing end of the blade member is smaller than a ratio thereof at the leading edge of the blade member.

摘要: A cleaning device for cleaning a moving surface of a cleaning target includes a laminated blade member including multiple layers including a proximal edge layer, each of the multiple layers made of materials different in permanent set value and a holding member to hold a distal end of the blade member. A proximal edge portion of the blade member at a free, leading end opposite the distal end of the blade member held by the holding member brought into contact with the surface of the cleaning target to clean the surface undergoes a linear pressure reduction rate of approximately 90% or higher.
