摘要: In apparatus for supporting a magnetic transducer or head in a video tape recorder and which includes a cantilevered support member mounted at one end, for example, on a rotary portion of a tape guide drum, with the head secured on the opposite or free end of the support member in transducing relation to the tape wound about the drum; at least a part of the support member extending from its mounted end is constituted by a bi-morph leaf, and conductive layers are bonded to opposite surfaces of the bi-morph leaf and are absent from at least the free end portion of the support member so that flexing of the bi-morph leaf occurs between the conductive layers in response to the application of a drive signal to the conductive layers for deflecting the head laterally in respect to the plane of movement of the head with the rotary drum portion, and such flexing is excluded from at least the free end portion of the support member for facilitating the secure attachment of the head thereto and for minimizing the angular deviation of the active face of the head from the tape that accompanies the lateral deflecting of the head.

摘要: In an apparatus for reproducing video or other information signals recorded in successive parallel tracks extending obliquely on a magnetic tape or other record medium which is adapted to be longitudinally advanced, and with each of the tracks containing a positional signal, for example, constituted by a vertical synchronizing signal, at a predetermined position along the respective track, a magnetic head or transducer is movable in the direction generally along the tracks for reproducing the information and positional signals recorded therein and is mounted or supported by a bi-morph leaf or other transducer deflecting device which is operative, in response to the reception of an electrical drive signal, for deflecting the transducer or head in a direction transverse to the direction along the tracks, a circuit detects a time base error of the positional signal reproduced from each of the tracks, and a control circuit for providing the electrical drive signal to the transducer deflecting device is effective to vary such drive signal in accordance with the detected time base error. A time base variation of the reproduced signals is further detected, for example, in respect to the successive horizontal synchronizing signals of the reproduced video signals, and the electrical drive signal for the transducer deflecting device is also varied in accordance with such detected time base variation.

摘要: A circuit for forming a vertical synchronizing pulse at the end of a field of a composite video signal utilizes the characteristic of the video signal that the equalizing pulses in the vertical blanking interval have a pulse width one-half that of the horizontal synchronizing pulses in the composite video signal. Accordingly, the circuit includes a discriminating pulse generator which generates a discriminating pulse whose duration ends before the trailing edge of a horizontal synchronizing pulse, but after the trailing edge of an equalizing pulse; a comparator, such as a D-type flip-flop, for comparing the timing of the discriminating pulses with that of the equalizing and horizontal synchronizing pulses to discriminate the equalizing pulses on the basis of such comparison; and a generator for generating the vertical synchronizing pulse in response to the discrimination of the equalizing pulses.

摘要: Color video signal recording and/or reproducing apparatus comprising a first circuit for generating a first signal having the same frequency as the field frequency of the color video signal, and a second circuit for generating a second signal that indicates a field interval having a predetermined phase relationship between a horizontal synchronizing signal and a color subcarrier signal. The first and second signals are combined to form a composite control signal, which is then recorded in a control track on a magnetic tape in the conventional manner. A comparison circuit is included for comparing the composite control signal reproduced from the tape with a reference control signal, the reference control signal being composed of a third signal having a frequency equal to the field frequency and a fourth signal indicating a field interval, in which a phase relationship between a reference horizontal synchronizing signal and a reference color subcarrier signal is equal to the predetermined phase relationship. Thus, during playback the movement of the magnetic tape is controlled in response to the output of the comparison circuit so that the phase of the composite control signal reproduced from the tape coincides with that of the reference control signal.
