    摘要: A method and apparatus for supporting home Node B (HNB) services are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) receives HNB access restriction information from an HNB and accesses the HNB if an access to the HNB is allowed based on the HNB access restriction information. The HNB access restriction information may be a closed subscriber group identity (CSG ID), a status bit indicating whether an HNB cell is available or not, an identity of WTRUs that are allowed to access the HNB, information indicating whether an access to a cell is barred or not. The WTRU may trigger measurements for cell reselection even though signal strength on a currently connected cell is above a threshold. The measurement may be triggered manually, periodically, under the instruction from the network, or based on a neighbor cell list including information about HNB cells located nearby.

    摘要: Method and apparatus for receiving high speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) transmissions are disclosed. An HS-DSCH medium access control (MAC-ehs) entity receives MAC-ehs protocol data units (PDUs) via a high speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) while in one of Cell_FACH, Cell_PCH, and URA_PCH states. The reordering PDUs included in the MAC-ehs PDUs may be sent to a next processing entity without performing reordering of the PDUs. A certain reordering queue may enter a suspend state upon occurrence of a triggering event and MAC-ehs PDUs distributed to the reordering queue in the suspend state may be forwarded to the next processing entity without performing reordering. MAC-ehs reset procedure may be extended for a certain transmission such that the MAC-ehs reset is performed after receiving a MAC-ehs PDU in a target cell.

A first discovery procedure may be performed to discover at least one service provider, and a bootstrap procedure may be performed with the at least one discovered service provider. A second discovery procedure may then be performed to determine available service capability layers (SCLs) supported by the at least one discovered service provider. The first discovery procedure may include transmitting a service provider discovery request including information for querying a record database to determine matching service provider discovery records, and receiving a service provider discovery response including a service discovery function record list that matches queries in the service provider discovery request. At least one service provider from the service discovery function record list may be selected to bootstrap with. Various versions of the second discovery procedure are described.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for radio link synchronization and power control in CELL_FACH state and idle mode are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) transmits a random access channel (RACH) preamble and receives an acquisition indicator acknowledging the RACH preamble via an acquisition indicator channel (AICH) and an index to an enhanced dedicated channel (E-DCH) resource. The WTRU determines a start of an E-DCH frame. An F-DPCH timing offset is defined with respect to one of the RACH access slot and an AICH access slot carrying the acquisition indicator. A relative F-DPCH timing offset may be signaled to the WTRU and the WTRU may determine a start of an E-DCH frame based on the relative F-DPCH timing offset and timing of an AICH access slot including the acquisition indicator. The WTRU may transmit a dedicated physical control channel (DPCCH) power control preamble before starting an E-DCH transmission.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for performing an enhanced random access procedure in a Cell_FACH state are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) transmits a random access channel (RACH) preamble for random access. If a positive acknowledgement (ACK) is received in response to the RACH preamble, the WTRU enters a contention resolution phase and transmits a message via an enhanced dedicated channel (E-DCH). If contention resolution fails, the RACH preamble is retransmitted. A contention back-off timer may be used for retransmission. A physical random access channel (PRACH) code may be reselected. The RACH preamble may be retransmitted using a reserved PRACH resource so that E-DCH resource is allocated to the collided WTRUs. Data transmitted during the contention resolution phase may remain in a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) buffer. The MAC-i/is entity may be reset. All data sent during the contention resolution phase may be stored in a temporary buffer.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for managing a collision in random access channel (RACH) access transmissions are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) transmits WTRU-dependent information to confirm that a detected acquisition indicator (AI) is intended to the WTRU. The WTRU-dependent information may be transmitted separately after detecting the AI, may be transmitted along with a RACH preamble, or may be sent in an E-RACH message. The WTRU-dependent information may be a random number, a sequence or scrambling code randomly selected from a pre-determined set of sequences or scrambling codes. Alternatively, the WTRU-dependent information may be a pre-configured identifier, or information derived from the pre-configured identifier. Alternatively, after detecting an AI, the WTRU may randomly select an enhanced dedicated channel (E-DCH) resource from a set of E-DCH resources associated with an RACH resource used for transmission of the RACH preamble and transmit an E-RACH message using the selected E-DCH resource.
